AW: Surprise Ultrasound w/Pic

As an added bonus, 2 days ago, i went to have a cyst on my ovary looked at and ended up getting a good long look at my little peanut!!! They decided to go ahead and do a "first trimester" scan which was nice, and so they took all sorts of measurements and had an in depth look at everything. It was actually an ultrasound tech performing it for a change...This was a real treat and not what i'm accustomed to. My doctor usually does quick scans and isn't very thorough.....I had the luxury of being at a radiology center that specializes in all this stuff and has far better equipment than my doctor's office where there is only one machine (And its not a very good one). Anyways they dated my pregnancy, i wasn't even sure exactly how far along i was. I turned out to be 8w4d, according to dates i thought i was one day further but no biggie! I have an EDD of July 16th

I even got to hear the heartbeat for a brief second which was amazing, the heart was beating at a strong 170bpm-She measured it twice and averaged it out to that. Here is the bean, measuring pretty much right on track!! It seems alot more real to me now
