I know it's slightly different but my belly button ring stayed in all way through last pregnancy. I would have a chat with the body mod that did them and see what they say? Lol I'm worrying about tats stretching, almost time break out the bio oil I think. Good luck
I'm assuming they are made of metal. I would assume different hospitals have different policies, but generally I believe they want you to remove all metal jewelry and piercings when being admitted in case you need a c section.
I was actually able to keep mine in. I took out the ones I could but I've got a couple that I haven't changed since they were put in 8 years ago. They are surgical steal and the nurse said they were fine. I didn't know how to remove them. The ball that holds them in wouldn't unscrew. I don't think they felt like going through the hassle of cutting them out. The ones that wouldn't come out are in my ears. I know that's what everyone always wonders.
I just had surgery on my fallopian tubes at 4 weeks and they stayed in so I'm not in a hurry to remove them I probably won't lol I'll let them deal with it when the time comes
I was going to get the hip dermals done b4 I found out I was pregnant! Glad I waited now!! But I do have two umm "below the waist" and dr says they have to come out at delivery. I can completely understand that. Also have my belly button done, which dr hasn't mentioned that one, so I'm assuming if it doesn't start to reject as ur belly grows, then ur ok.
Yes I have one in a tattoo higher up on my abdomen! My dr said that you need to get it out before you start to stretch. Also it isn't safe to keep in, we all hope for a natural birth, however, if you have to have a csection the equipment used will cause an electric burn to wherever you have piercings! I guess this has happened before with a girl who left in her tongue ring so the sooner the better. Unfortunately! I am sad to remove mine, had it for 4 years now! Haha. Good luck to you.
I finally feel old... I read the first few and seriously thought OP had a medical implant in her hip for some reason. I couldn't figure out why ppl were telling her to "just take it out" so casually... Scoot over @ramy3@SaltyH2O@Smilz4782
I'm with you guys....I read "hip dermal" in the tattoos and piercings thread and had no clue what it was. I think I have to google an image because I can't even picture what it's supposed to look like?
Re: hip dermals
If it's actually on your hip I would just go by comfort. Leave it for now unless it starts catching or becomes irritating.
