At 6 weeks and after 5 weeks of constant spitting up, an insanely fussy baby that would cry for 8-10 hours a day while spitting up and being extremely gassy as well as refusing sleep cuz he was always in discomfort.... his pedi put him on Zantac! Wow... what a difference!! He has never been this calm and peaceful in his whole little life. One doctor said it was typical baby spit up, but I knew the amount and the accumulation of other symptoms wasn't normal, and our most recent visit with a new pedi confirmed my suspicions. I'm in tears of joy and urge anyone who suspects reflux to discuss a trial of some sort of acid reducer with their pediatrician -- no need to have these little babies suffer when there could be such an easy fix.
Here is a picture of my peaceful little squishy guy knocked out in my arms after his first dose and feed and you couldn't wake him if you tried where as normally he would cry thru the feed and after all while throwing everything up.
