Appointments/Updates?
I had an OB appt yesterday. Did the b strep swab and I'm so swollen that I feel like it hurt more than it should have. I don't get another US but doctor says she's head down in my pelvis and estimates her to be just under 5 pounds. Turns out it's her little butt I'm constantly feeling, she likes to wiggle it quite a bit. I'm also now going to weekly appointments. It's all going by so fast!
Rants/Raves?
Nothing too bad, I'm getting over a cold so I've been feeling pretty run down. Plus I'm just so sore now that it's hard to walk.
What are your plans for birth? C-Section, Vaginal (Epi?), Home?
Planning for vaginal with epi, pretty normal birth hopefully. My only special request will be to delay clamping until the cord stops pulsing.
Are you a SAHM or Working? If working, when will you return to work?
I work. With a combo of STD and PTO I'll be taking 7 weeks off (unless I have a c-section, then I'll take 8). I can't wait to hybernate with the little girl!

I'm exhausted! We're really busy at work, and I'm trying to work ahead in case Baby decides to make an early appearance, so all that has me pretty worn out. Our paralegal also has a cold but refuses to call in sick, and I'm absolutely going to lose my shit if I get it.... And I feel like a whale!

I'm going to try to do vaginal birth with no epi. We'll see.

Working! I'll go back when I'm cleared by my doctor - so probably 6 weeks (but 8 would be nice!). My office is too small for me to qualify for FMLA. There's not even a maternity leave policy.

Just the typical stuff. My body is killing me. I fell in one of my classes last night so my tail bone is super sore today and it's making me not want to sit.

Hoping for a home birth with this one. I was having some pretty painful contractions after my fall yesterday so I'm a little worried. Just need to start practicing my hypnobabies I think.

SAHM but I teach dance 2 days a week. I figured I would see how I felt after birth. With my daughter I couldn't even sit without a boppy pillow under me for 2 weeks. I'm hoping to be back in the studio about that time this time but we will see.

Appointments/Updates?
I've been on weekly appointments since 29 weeks due to GD and gestational hypertension. Today we scheduled my next ultrasound for the 23rd to check fluid levels and next week he's going to check my cervix and do the gbs swab. Yay. Also tentatively scheduled my induction for Jan 10.
Rants/Raves?
I'm fed up with these contractions. Also, twice weekly NSTs at the hospital and weekly OB visits is starting to feel like a job. I'm thankful for the monitoring and that they are taking things seriously but it's a lot.

I hope to have a vaginal delivery with epidural.

Working. I don't plan on going back until she is 4 months old or so though.

Have regular appointment tomorrow and will get a strep swab. I've been on bi-weekly appointments since 25 weeks and on weekly since 33 weeks. I'm high-risk due to age and pre-e.

Glad we have made it to 35 weeks and still going with only 1 hospital visit so far.
So tired of constantly checking BP and feeling sick majority of the time. Nothing seems to fit anymore, and my bump is not a bump...it's a freaking huge boulder! I'm tired of people telling me I look like I'm about to explode! Believe me....I feel like I'm about to explode. I tired of daily contractions that are not repetitive enough to go to L&D, but plenty repetitive to make me extremely uncomfortable. Don't get me wrong I do not wish for PTL, but I also do not want to risk a repeat from my first pregnancy where we let the pre-e go for too long and had a near crisis situation with labor and emergency CS. Ok, rant over. Now I feel the need to apologize.
What are your plans for birth?
This is my 2nd pregnancy and will be my 2nd CS.
SAHM or Working? If working when will you return to work?
I'm a working Mom. I've been on bedrest since 25 weeks due to high risk of complications. I've exhausted all my leave time (which was supposed to be for after LO is born) and I am currently using catastrophic leave. Thank God for that!!!! I'll be on leave until the baby is born, and then for another 8 weeks after she is born. We are fortunate to have family nearby so our LO will stay with my IL's when I return to work.
This made me laugh. When I was 33 weeks I told my husband baby was the size of durian. He first said, don't ever compare my baby to that! Then he said, are you on an Asian pregnancy website or something? It is funny because my husband is Vietnamese and durian is an asian fruit. The funny part is that is stinks SOOOO bad. Some people swear it tastes good, but it smells so bad I would never touch it.
