21 weeks brown blood?

hey ladies,

I'm about 21 weeks and had some minor brown blood last night and this morning when wiping. I haven't had any other spotting thus far. Has anyone else experienced this? Should I be worried?

    Did you recently get laid? Common to spot after sex. I've read many times on TB that if it doesn't fill a maxi pad, don't worry. But hey-call your doctor who knows way more about this stuff

    Give your doctor a quick call. That's what they are there for. A small amount of blood is usually okay bit better to be safe than sorry. As already mentioned, it could be an irritated cervix or could even be a sign of a UTI.

    I've had a lot of bleeding since 16 weeks (24 weeks now) and my doctor always assures me that brown blood is the best. However, I would probably give them a call and let them know you did have some brown blood when you wipe. They'll probably tell you everything is alright, but they also may want you to pop in quickly to have your cervix checked. I hope the brown wiping stops this morning.

    I had some spotting last night and contacted my doula who told me to call the nurses line in the morning. So that's probably what you should do.

    I'm in Alberta and had spotting while away at work and no where near a hospital. I called Health Link and that helped calm me down and offered good medical advice. I would use that only if you can't see your own doc right away, get some piece of mind at least!
