I am having a rough morning. I'm on day 9 of stims for IVF, egg retrieval is tentatively this weekend. My RE sees his patients at every appointment and does all the ultrasounds. I went for my monitoring this morning and a tech did my ultrasound and I didn't see the RE at all. Ok, sure not a big deal I guess. I talked to a nurse about how many meds I have left and I don't have enough! I need more by Thursday. But lets come back to that. As I was scheduling my appointments for the rest of the week the receptionist informs me my RE isn't in the rest of the week! I will see one of the other doctors. Umm ok because yesterday when I saw him he didn't say anything about this. I asked who is doing my egg retrieval this weekend...not him! A dr I have never met! I feel abandoned. I guess this isn't a big deal, all the doctors at the practice are supposed to be excellent. But I've been seeing my RE for a year. I trust him. I know him. It'd be nice to have a familiar face for surgery!
Now back to the meds issue. So I come home and immediately call for a refill for one of my meds in the hopes that yes they can ship me something that quickly. They claim they can. Which I will not relax about until it is in my hands. During this phone call they also tell me I have a balance. Uh, no I have paid for every order before they've shipped. So I'm told that's just an estimate but the insurance company didn't pay as much as we thought they would. Huh!? Long story short (well too late for that I suppose) I am back to my initial insurance issue where they think my coverage is different from what it is. So I hung up with the pharmacy people to call the billing people. I've been on the phone for an hour! Every drug claim has been billed wrong and supposedly they will refund my credit card. Honestly I will believe that when I see it. But considering I have a lifetime max and they are billing things wrong, I'm more than a little concerned about things.
So you know, IVF isn't stressful enough. I'm tired, my belly hurts and I'm just a wee bit anxious, overwhelmed and emotional.
Thanks for listening. If you made it through all of that I give you this
Or perhaps this is more to your taste

Re: AW: ARGH I need a vent
I can understand you being anxious about seeing another Dr. In the end it will work out but when you get used to someone, it's hard to feel comfortable with someone else. That would bother me for sure
I am sorry to hear about your insurance woes. It seems to be a trend and I think insurance companies just try whatever they can to pay for as little as they can.
I hope you start feeling better soon!
Oh, and I opted for that yummy looking blue martini

In other news my nurse calmed my freak out and told me my REs wife surprised him with a trip for his bday (which explains why he didn't tell me yesterday) but he checks in everyday and will still be the one reviewing everything and calling the shots on my protocol. She gave me some background on the RE that will do the ER so I feel better about that. Not much more I can do, maybe acupuncture tomorrow will help calm me too.
Thank you everyone for all the hugs and support! :x
