BTDT moms- siblings sharing rooms

I was wondering who has their kids sharing a room. We still have LO#2 in our room in a bassinet, but eventually she will share a room with LO#1. I've been starting to think about moving her over, but am nervous. LO#2 wakes 3-4 times a night to nurse and LO#1 sometimes wakes 1-2 times a night, but does STTN most of the time. Has anyone else had experience with this? Thank you!

I don't have any experience with room sharing unless you count the room my sister and I shared until I was 13 but I'd say if they're both waking up regularly at night you should just stick with what you're doing for now. I would think that they would both just wake each other up more at this point.

Mine share a room. It's really a non issue most of the time. Isaac still wakes up once or twice a night but he rarely wakes his sister. Sometimes I'll go in there and she'll be sleeping with her hands over her ears but it's never enough to really be a bother. However, she is three and was already three when they started sharing a room since Isaac coslept until he was 12 or 13 months.

No firsthand experience.
One of my friends told me that when she moved her one year old in with her four year old the little one magically started sleeping through the night much more consistenly. She theorized that he'd wake up and was comforted by the sight of his sister, realize he wasn't alone, and would often go back to sleep on his own.

My mom keeps suggesting I put the baby in C's room to help C sleep...maybe there is something to it?

My sample size of one household suggests its at least as effective as changing diaper size

But seriously, my friend said it made a different for her little guy and when he did wake up (teething, potty training, really bad dreams) it didn't bother her older daughter much.
