Re: Breastfeeding check in
H is 6 mo. He bf 4 times during the day. So about 4 hr between feedings. And then usually wakes at least 2 times a night. Longest stretch he have me last night was 6 hours which was nice!
EBF. I tried rice cereal a couple weeks ago and he broke out into terrible hives all over his face.
He did his first real bite of my nip a couple days ago and I yelped and sated him. He's bit me before but this was much harder. No teeth yet thank god, he would have sliced it right off. (I can't go back and edit in my phone, sated = scared)
My bf goal is 1 year or teeth. Which ever comes first. My boys are late teethers, so it will probably be 1 year. So 6 more months and then I finally get my body back.

How old is LO ? How long between feedings? What is the longest LO sleeps at night? 6.5 months, eats every 2 hours during the day and ALL NIGHT LONG!
EBF, EP, supplementing, started solids? EBF, intended to do BLW but DD was not having it, was screaming for food, so started occasional purees and still practicing getting finger foods to the mouth. She still isn't mouthing objects.
Raves and rants? I can't decide if this is a rave or rant. the 2yo just decided she wants to breastfeed too!! Whenever I finish feeding DD2, DD1 runs over and tries to suck on my boobs. I'm terrified she will bite but hasn't so far. I don't think she gets a letdown, she stopped breastfeeding 9months ago but doesn't remember how to latch on properly. She is hilarious thought she looks at me says "I eat too" and very carefully puts my nipple in her mouth. silly baby!
Anything else you want to share? Just want to send some encouragement to the ladies pumping at work (and those who EP obviously). 6months was when I reached my breaking point for pumping last time around. It is such a pain, you guys are amazing!
How old is LO ? How long between feedings? What is the longest LO sleeps at night? 6 and a half months. Still eating every 2 hrs during the day. Goes 9 or 10 hours at night, then sleeps another 2 or 3 after her early-morning feeding.
EBF, EP, supplementing, started solids? EBF, no bottles or pumping. She's had oatmeal and sweet potatoes a few times, but I'm really not all that motivated to deal with food right now.
Raves and rants? She's so dang easy to distract. And going into a dark, quiet room alone with her just isn't an option most of the time. It gets really frustrating.

How old is LO ? How long between feedings? What is the longest LO sleeps at night? DD is 6.5 months - 29 weeks. She is about 3 hours in between feedings. She sleeps 9-10 hour chunk at night and wakes up - sometimes goes back to sleep. It works during the work week, but I wish she knew to sleep in until at least 7 on the weekends.
EBF, EP, supplementing, started solids? Started supplementing last week. I bought Earth's Best Sensitive - she downs those bottles like she downs the BM bottles. She gets 1-2 bottles of formula a day - depends on my supply. I EBF her on weekends. Solids are a go - BLW - she does get oatmeal mixed with chunky fruit that I make for breakfast, lunch @ DC (they are on board with BLW) and dinner at home.
Raves and rants? Rave: Happy I met my goal of 6 months EBF. Rant: I have to have DD completely weaned by April. I'll be on a work trip for 6 days and I don't want any issues with leaking, etc.
Anything else you want to share? Not BF related, but I love watching DD look at Christmas lights. The excitement and look on her face kills me every time.
@Jcrewgirl85 he just got his first tooth so I'm sure that has something to do with it, plus he is very distracted, wants to play with my hair, etc....I only nurse in the morning since that's when my breasts are full and the letdown is fast. He definitely has a bottle preference (always has, one of our major issues) even with a slow flow nipple. The formula is going ok- he refused it at first, but we mixed it with BM and slowly increased the amounts and now he's taking full formula bottles. It makes him a little more gassy, but I hope he'll get used to it.
@usernameedit I hope we have at least one more good nursing session, and then I'll probably stop trying after that. It'll be nice to not have the pressure of whether or not he'll nurse + pumping every morning, even if it is saddening to stop.
I work full time, so during the day I pump three times at work. I only manage to get around 1 - 1.5oz each session, so we had to supplement with formula for daycare. It sucks. I can remember when I first started pumping and I could easily get 4oz per session.
