This is not the same as a child, but I think my dog knows. She's been extra clingy and whiny. She follows me around even after I've fed her and she has no reason to.
Yep! My 14mo regressed to two short naps instead of his 1 long and wanted to BF all the time, even though we'd gotten down to just the morning. I'm 8w2d now and he weaned completely this week finally, but the super clingy and whiney lasted until the end of last week.
My son had been talking about his baby sister before I knew for sure I was pregnant but that's about it. My husband went and told him I had a baby in my tummy and I went along with it but I wasn't happy he told him. It's to early and I haven't even gotten my ultrasound yet to see a heartbeat. I really hope I don't have to explain where baby went =/ My pup has been moody to DH and will come sit with me. She is usually all about DH.
I don't have any other kids, but I am sure my cat knows! He hasn't left me alone for one minute. The second I get home he is all over me, always wanting to snuggle. He sleeps right by my feet and wants to lay on my tummy.
My youngest son (2 1/2) seemed to know before we did. About a week before I even tested he kept talking about a baby sister. We've never talked directly to him about the baby, but he announced a couple weeks ago to the daycare director that he has a baby sister. She just looked at me and I said we'd have to work on that, lol. He's also woken up in the morning and asked where his baby sister is.
In all likelihood we are having a boy though. 8 pregnancies and 4 confirmed boys doesn't bode well for him or his older brother in having a sister. They'd all like pink though, but not much we can do about that.

My son (20mo) lifts my shirt and kisses and blows raspberries on my belly! He only started doing it a few weeks ago. It freaks me out a little bit! He's also been much more cuddly/clingy, but I think that's just a stage he's going through.
DD2 has started kissing my belly. Idk if it's because the first she did it we said, "Awhh," and now she does it for the reaction or because she senses something is different. Idk, but it's sweet either way.
I asked my bonus son what's in my belly and he said "baby". When I asked him to repeat it a few minutes later in front of DH he said "pizza" and then "baby". But we haven't told him. #spooky
This signature is all for YOU. I'm on mobile and can't see crap.
My DS was telling family and daycare that he had a baby brother/ sister (depending on his mood). This was before we even tested. He drive my mother crazy this wknd...and she's loves him to pieces. She was convinced he knows. Today he said, "mommy, your tummy is huge!" And as I typed this he's laying over me, poking my tummy asking, "mommy, is a baby in there?" "We need a baby." Oh my!
Interesting... I never put this together, but my 22 month old has been very clingy the past couple months, and she asks to be rocked like a baby and fed like a baby all the time lately. ("Rock a baby?" "Feed me baby?")
