This is a weekly thread for runners who were due June 2014, that is posted on Mondays . All who run--or who want to start running--are welcome, regardless of mileage, pace, ability, size, shape, or terrestrial status. We had this thread during pregnancy, now it's time to lose that baby weight.

  • How were your runs and workouts this week? 
    Fewer than I hoped. Didn't get to 5 miles at once due to time constraints, but we did do 1 4 miler.  Otherwise I ran 9 miles total.  Crazy to think I ran more miles per week into my 3rd trimester!!  We also lifted once.

    What are your plans for health/fitness this week?
    Wanting to get to 5 or 6 miles at once.  Also make sure to lift at least 2 times.  I need to make a 15k training plan and stick to it.  

    GTKY:  My favorite is regular coffee with flavored cream.  I am obsessed with the frosted sugar cookie creamer from International Delights right now. Its so good.  Coffee has become a severe addiction these past couple months, not sure its good for my breast milk tho.

  • I did NOTHING this week. Nothing. Granted, I've been sick all week too but ugh! I feel like such a slug.

    Hopefully this cold or whatever I'm fighting will pass and I can get back on the wagon soon. I guess the one good thing is I've been living off soup because I'm too sick to eat like crap and can't smell or taste anything anyways. Sigh.

    GTKY: I love coffee! I rarely treat myself to anything beyond my normal but a caramel macchiato is my special treat around the holidays. ;)

  • @babygabe614‌ sorry you're sick!!! I usually chug tea with a cough drop melted into it. It helps open things up a bit
  • hey runners!  i took a break from j14 as have been super caught up in baby land and going back to work.  i missed my favorite weekly thread though :)

    how are you all doing?  good to see you two getting after it and running/working out!  i have been pretty active running and lifting since i was cleared by my doc at week 7 PP.  

    How were your runs and workouts this week? 
    workouts were great.  i went to my bootcamp 4 days which had a lot of running.  also squeezed in a sprint track workout :)

    What are your plans for health/fitness this week?
    i just want to keep consistent!  i hope to get in 4-5 workouts and i would like to try to fit in yoga again. i was so good with yoga all during my pregnancy and it would be nice to find the time again.

    GTKY: Favorite hot beverage to enjoy in the winter time?
    i agree with you two regarding coffee!  its my favorite drink when its cold and my favorite drink every morning

  • Same here @sjdihle‌ ! I have been way too caught up with going back to work and being a new mommy. Everything is going great :). How are you?? I'm sure you ladies have covered this, but have you all started jogging with baby?

  • @lola4411 Many of us have, but I personally am on a hiatus for right now because it's so darn cold (and maybe I'm a little unmotivated as well). I will probably pick it back up in the spring. My running club has nominated me to start running a weekly stroller meetup for the mamas so that will be nice!

  • This week was bad for me as well! We were on holidays last minute in Florida and we definitely enjoyed ourselves maybe a bit more than we should have, although we did a lot of walking! Back at it starting tomorrow.

    GTKY- another one here for coffee with flavoured International Delight although I have never seen the frosted sugar cookie one that sounds awesome mmmm....Currently drinking a peppermint mocha from Starbucks while waiting for our flight home which isn't half bad!

    How were your runs and workouts this week? 
    Last week went well for me as I got in all my intended workouts!  Running is really starting to feel good although I'm still a TON slower than ever.  Oh well!  This week hasn't started out too well.  Tonight I chose wine over my workout.  Oops.

    What are your plans for health/fitness this week?
    My plans were to get in all my workouts.  Oops again.

    Welcome back @lola4411!  I was running with the stroller but now I think it's just too cold and gross out!  She will have to settle with our walks around the mall for the winter!  I do enjoy my alone time though when I'm out running!

  • We (me and little bear) have been great! We've done some jogging with the stroller, but prefer without. She loves the stroller tho! How about you? Any updates on little guy/your life?

    i havent jogged with baby boy yet.  i too use my work-outs as me time :)

    so glad to hear you all are doing so well!
