Some sort of video game system. Eventually my parents got a Game Boy that my sister and I shared for road trips. But we weren't allowed to have real video games or cable.

Cheese....funny story about that. I love cheese but we did not have a lot of cheese sold in our area and the ones that were there were very expensive. My mom used to reward me with cheese when I behaved myself, which was not very often :-). I wanted a big big box of cheese once and she refused to get it, a. it was not easy to buy 2. it would certainly have made me sick.
Another one who wanted a horse. Also, a dollhouse...one of the pretty wooden Victorian ones. I still want both of these things. Plus my H owes me sugar gliders for going without an epidural for DD.
As soon as I get home I am pipping a pic of myself with my barbie corvette. My aunt had sent me a white rabbit skin coat and GoGo my walking pup that year.
I was Paris Hilton before it was cool.
I had a coat like that! I also had a gaudy gold coat I just had to have for kindergarten. I wish I had a picture of it.
@greenbunny79 I also wanted one of those heads that you could style the hair! And an easy bake oven. My mom always said it was gross that the food was cooked by a little light bulb and that it couldn't be good for you. Oh, and a Barbie power wheels Corvette. I was so deprived
I put a puppy on my list every year growing up. My mom had allergies and I knew I'd never get one but it kinda became a joke when I was still in high school with puppy at the top of my list.
Re: The one that got away
Put me down for a power wheel. The Barbie Corvette. Not the Jeep.
I got the hand me down green monster from my brother that you had to *gasp* pedal.

Darn..I was wierd!
Then when I became an adult, I bought myself a horse. And you know what I asked for Christmas from my dad that year?
Another horse!
ETA to add, my dad died two years ago, so now I ask my FIL for a horse every year. No one's ever going to to get me a horse, are they?
