**Ok, lovelies, we are trying out this new check in format that was posted on the boards. This check in will be posted the second and fourth Mondays of the month. Thanks! It's still snot city around our house, but it can't last forever, right? RIGHT?!?

QOTW: non-TTC wise in 2015, I'm looking forward to a trip to Key West that DH and I are taking in February. Neither of us have ever been there, and it's brutally cold and snowy where I live at that time of the year, so it will be a welcome escape!

QOTW: non-TTC wise in 2015, I'm looking forward to a trip to Key West that DH and I are taking in February. Neither of us have ever been there, and it's brutally cold and snowy where I live at that time of the year, so it will be a welcome escape!

That sounds so nice to go somewhere warm. I am sorry about snot city.

Hi @rubysi - how are you doing?

AFM: I'm not sure if I got a +OPK or not. I had two on Friday that I stared at for a long time and thought that they could be + or not. Sat morning was definitely - and the afternoon was -, but darker than the morning. Then, I got a temp spike on Sunday and today, so I guess Friday's were +. I've never had a problem not being sure before. :-/

QOTW - Nothing at the moment. Spring maybe. I hate winter!

@BookishMomma - I've had that around my house too. Blah and no, I do not think that it can last forever. Feel better! And, I'm officially jealous of your trip!

@furrypaws - Have fun with FW! I know your crazy...I'm there.

I think the temp spike has confirmed friday too. I hate winter too. I am already making plans for the spring.

Hey @rubysi, thanks for the check in!

I am doing better, I still have coughing fits (even after 2 weeks) but I am sleeping all through the night without waking up and I am back to sleeping in my bed! AF came Saturday night so I am thankful it didn't come smack in the middle of my sickness or I don't think I would have made it!

@bookishmomma Key West is so much fun, you're going to have a blast!

QOTW : What NON-TTC are you looking forward to in 2015?

The only thing I have planned so far is the NHL Winter Classic (it's where they set up an outdoor rink in a baseball field somewhere different each year on New Year's Day). MH and I are huge hockey fans and he was born and raised in the DC area. Since it's in DC, we will already be there for the holidays, and the Capitals are his team, we HAD to get tickets. A bit expensive but a Winter Classic is on our bucket list so we might as well do it!

Hi thanks for the check-in, this is going to be quick for me as well. The end of the semester is always crazy, even when I am not teaching which is annoying!

We did the ER while I was at a conference (local so no problem) but I missed my own paper. I have a transfer scheduled for tomorrow but if things are good, it will be pushed to day 5. So far they say they are "high quality" embies. My RE knows not to give me numbers or grades because I can obsess like its my job if given the right material.

Q: I am planning to visit some friends out west and family in Florida this summer which will be nice. Both MH and I did not schedule field projects so we could take a real vacation.

I am glad you are doing better. The cough is sometimes difficult to kick.

AFM, I suppose the hair appt helped to some extent. What really helped me feel better was finally getting over my sickness and getting AF over and done with. I finally set up an appt with my chiro (first one since I've moved...too long), so hopefully this headache I've had for over a week will get the hell out of here, too.

What I'm looking forward to in 2015: remodeling our kitchen (hopefully); potential sale of the company for which I work, which likely means I'll be starting fresh (hopefully that's not too stressful); throwing a big 35th bday bash for MH; whatever fun trip we end up planning (possibly Dominica Republic, but we'll see!).

Sorry so short and no personal replies this week. I am SLAMMED at work and at home. We have three holiday parties in a row later this week and I just don't have enough hours in the day!!!

Sorry about the headache. 2015 looks to be busy and exciting for you. I know what you mean about not having enough hours in the day. Enjoy those parties.

I am glad it is still ivf. FX. I like the idea of a real vacation.

Last week went ok. Had to be on antibiotics for dental surgery last Sat and as a result, I'm sick.

I'm also soooo sick of hearing and seeing people on my local FB group whining about being too old to have kids at 32. I'm 30 fucking 8 and I'm still holding out hope. It's SO frustrating. /vent.

There isn't much new here. I am having weird nightmarish surgery dreams (so I guess I am a little stressed about it), but that is probably normal. I didn't worry much about my D&C because I felt so miserable that I really couldn't be bothered at that point, but it is all for the greater good, I suppose.

QOTW: I am looking forward to focusing on my career again. I have been very distracted the last year and I think I will have a renewed energy and focus for it after a 4 - 6 week medical leave.

ETA: stuck in the box

Thanks for the check in too! Again, short and sweet, but had to check the TB in my spare minutes. I've had an "exciting" couple of days. My 2nd opinion RE indicated that he believes I have a hormone problem and does not believe that my DOR status is necessarily the cause of the Ms. So I had an endometrial biopsy yesterday and finally have MH scheduled for his SA tomorrow, with the idea that we will do this medicated natural cycle this doc thinks will be the ticket. Sadly, he is a 2.5-3 hour commute away, while other place is 5 minutes

But if he'll get me a baby, then we can further disrupt life, right? Test results back on Thursday.

And yes to annoying young people who talk about how old they are. I'm 15 and waaaayyy past my prime fertile years. Maybe 20,000 years ago!

@perigrinefalconx good luck, your 20,000 yearold comment made me laugh a lot (I am an archaeologist so that is my kind of humor).

I was supposed to go in for my ET today but the nurse called to say it is pushed to day five since the embies are "high quality". So I am trying not to freak out too much about the added wait, we will see.

I hope you get some rest and your surgery goes well. The career focus sounds like a good idea. I might try it myself.

It sounds like the new Dr has done some good investigation. I hope you get some answer's soon from them.. The commute does sound like a pain but hopefully worth it.

I have coworkers that have been alive 1-2 years longer than DH and I have been together... the ridiculous comments they make. 8-|
