For those with initially low heart rates:
I know hearing or seeing the heartbeat is such a joy, but can also bring a lot of unwanted stress to many if we think our baby's may be a bit "slower" than others.
At our first u/s at 6 wks 4 days, our heartbeat was around 107 bpm. The u/s tech and doctor said everything looked great, but in the weeks between appts, I saw a lot of people with much higher BPMs earlier in their pregnancies and other people stressing out with numbers between 100-120. Yesterday, we had our next check-up at 10 wks 6 days and our OB was able to detect a heartbeat on a doppler at a healthy 150 bpm.
So this is just a reminder to trust your doctors when they say everything is looking good and try not to "compare" yourselves or your baby's measurements to everyone here. I know it is really hard to be patient when we are all so excited, but things will develop as they should. May everyone have a healthy and stress-free pregnancy! :-bd
