'Sup, ladies!? How is everyone doing? My babies have officially woken up and I feel like my life is kind of like an all-day-long version of
As soon as I take care of one, there's another one popping up needing something. Anyone else feel this way?
Anyway, as I mentioned before, I plan to do this update monthly instead of weekly. Feel free to bump it throughout the month, though.
Also, I'm on instagram (user name absolutelymaybeme) if anyone wants to follow and I'm open to Facebook friends (send me a personal message and I'll send a friend's request). I plan to check here too, but I post a lot more of Facebook now. My friends probably hate me.

Re: N14 Twin Mom December Updates
N14 Nov. Siggy: CELEBRATION!
AFM- My days feel like a blur, I'm in denial that the holidays are around the corner. Haven't even thought about Christmas shopping, yikes.
Some good- Our insurance finally approved some coverage for the hypoallergenic formula. Huge relief, as $33 per can was getting rough. Also, the girls seem to FINALLY (knock on wood) be starting to stick to a night feeding schedule. Minus last night, but we're getting there I think. I'm noticing they're becoming a lot more alert and aware, which I love!
Some not so good- I'm really struggling w/ the idea of going back to work in a few weeks. The plan is for me to go back part time, while my mom (who is partially retired) will watch the babies. I want to stay out longer, but financially that's not the best decision for us. Curious what everyone else's plans are? I know we talked a little about it during pregnancy.
Wishing you all (plus your families) a very happy & healthy holiday season! I'm also on Instagram (Caitlin887) and FB, if anyone is up for connecting there!
It's twin girls!! Born on 11-2-14!
As for sleeping, my girls despise their pack & play (both scream hysterically until I take them out), so they've been sleeping in their own cribs since day one. I swaddle them & crank the sound machine before putting them down. Sometimes I'll give them gripe water, too. They haven't woken each other up yet (though they weren't sleeping great in general until recently). After a MOTN feeding, occasionally one will have a fit about going back in her crib... then I'll try the swing or vibrating seat. GL! PS- I totally IG stalked you lol hope you don't mind!

I am also adjusting to having AWAKE babies. They are also showing more personality as time goes on!
We had our annual Friends Thanksgiving on Saturday. They pretty much slept right through it!
My big milestone for the week- I got all three of us out of the house on Friday, all by myself. Of course we didn't go anywhere- I hit up the drive thru, then picked up H at work & brought him to pick up a work truck at the shop. Then it was straight home. But- I did it. Then on Saturday, H held down the fort while I ran some errands- alone!
We also went on our first date while my parents baby sat. Lots of big things going on over here
We have them sleeping in our room- in RNPs. I like that I can move them around the house. I know we have to start the transition to cribs soon (naps first) but I'm terrified. I think Z will be fine. She can usually just hang out on her back, and she put herself to sleep this morning for the first time. G hates being on his back, and hates being put to bed. I have to hold him extra long to make sure he is really out or he wakes up screaming when I lay him down.
My other concern is that the nursery is upstairs, and we hang out downstairs all day. I'm not looking forward to going up and down stairs all day!
Other than that, I just can't believe how fast time is flying by! I will PIP from a computer, too!
The night after one of them slept 5.5 hours, but the other woke up in the middle, so I didn't get to sleep the 5.5 hours. Right now I'm having the most trouble first thing in the morning, because they are either wanting to eat all at once or back to back for several hours. They are the same way at bedtime.
They are starting to be a lot more active. They will grab onto my sweatshirt strings or my shirt. They are kicking the piano on the playmat. They are also looking around a lot more.
My SIL is moving in tomorrow to help out. I'm excited for the help with the twins and dd and with bills until I get full paychecks again, but not looking forward to another person living in this tiny place.
As far as the twins go-
William is huge he I surpassing Averie he weighed 9lbs at their 1 month checkup and she was only 8lbs so that put her in the 5th percentile for her weight. Which was concerning so we just went yesterday 12/18 for a weight check unfortunately she only gained 8oz so her formula was switched to soy and Zantac was added. Then this AM she threw up pretty much every oz she had eaten at the last 3 feedings. So my pedi decided before she gets to faliure to thrive stage to try to find the route cause. So tomorrow morning we are going to Children's Medical Center for a check of her upper GI tract. Hoping for the best!
William had a blocked tear duct and viral infection so he is currently on prescription eye ointment.
They are ok sleepers, Averie sleeps 4-6hrs at night and William wakes exactly every 3hrs to eat. I am pretty exhausted because I have no time to sleep during the day or night feels like someone is always awake. Plus add in my 13 month old. Makes for fun times.
My 9 yr old pretty much hates life here right now, she feels so neglected I am trying my best to make time for her. But there doesn't seem to be enough time in a day then a week is gone by. I am hoping things steady out soon. The stress of everything is causing a seperation in my relationship with my fiancé as well. We have never been the fighting/arguing all the time type but it seems the stupidest things(like dish soap) spark an argument. I hope things settle soon. We did finally close and move into out new home on Nov 19 then had out of state family stay with us until thanksgiving. So adjusting has been a little difficult.
I am still taking the Lovenox to prevent blood clots, I had a repeat MRA to make sure I am not at risk for another stroke in the near future(results pending) my blood pressure seems to be getting back to normal but I think I will be on the meds for awhile. That's about it I think.
We did make it to see Santa
Forgive me i haven't had much time to come on but you all have been in my thoughts and prayers!
Oh my goodness the babies are just gorgeous and delicious and eatable.
I'm gonna steal @absolutelymaybe layout and do good and bad
Good
I'm finally at home in Turks and Caicos with my husband and my son. Feels nice to have us all in one place. The girls are doing fantastic! Brooklyn was 9 lbs 6 oz as of December 11th and Lyric 9lns even. They love to eat and are drinking 4 ounces now. They are good sleepers. Used to get up every 3 hours but now they do some 5 and 6 hour sleeps. They have been sleeping in their cribs in their own rooms since I got back. I thought id need to have them in their playpen in my room for another month but turns out they were ready. I keep a monitor on 24/7 but I think the distance is good because we the parents get more rest and they learn to fall back asleep on their own.
I had yeh chance to go out twice my nanny who watched my so is handling ten twins so brilliantly! I agree with @absolutelymaybe the feeling is amazing when you get all dolled up. My husband was smiling ear to ear showing off his wife who just had twins lol. I lost all my baby weight 2 weeks after having the girls. Unbelievable but tru and I have no idea how I guess it was all baby. If only I could lose regular weight this easy.
The bad
The day I came back my son had just caught a cold. I hate colds! Whoever invented them need to be shot! Worse of all he keeps sneezing. I have been following him around with Lysol and spraying after every sneeze and still one or my girls sounded sniffly and now. The other ugh! I'm still hoping they don't get it full blown. I'm putting saline drops in their noses around the clock
I'm gonna be going back to work early (january3) my nanny can't handle my son and the girls it's just way to stressful for me so imagine her. We are now gonna look into putting my son into daycare. He is 1 already and it would be good to get a head start on socialiZing and learning fundamentals. The only flip side to that is how sick kids get in daycares and if he will be bringing that home to the twincesses. I'm ready to be back at work and make my original salary again. Twins plus 1 is a lot of costs
I hope you guys all had Christmas and wishing you a happy new year
I'm on Instagram as well name is fallingtiers

Ive been gone for so long so brace yourself lol
