Pooping too much ! Is that a thing ?

13 mo old babygirl & she has been pooping ENTIRELY too much . Just wondering if you guys had to deal with this also .
At first I thought it may have been the wife variety of thanksgiving food + the leftovers for a few days that were upsetting her tummy but its still happening !
It's coming out pretty soft, sometimes diarrhea, so I have some pedialyte yesterday & today. She's also developed a bad rash from all the poop :(
Any words of wisdom ??

    How often? My DS poops a lot and his poop is always loose. Pedi said for some kids that's just their normal. Is her poop really watery or does it have it mucus? Then I'd check with your pedi.

    As far as diaper rash don't use wipes just paper towels and warm soapy water. When DS's gets bad we use maalox on his bum and then load it up with diaper cream. Try to let her go diaper free when you can. You can also do oatmeal baths.

    Have you recently transitioned her to cow's milk? That could be upsetting her stomach.

    At 16 months my son had this for a few days and it was tied to his teething. Did you try new foods suddenly? Does she have a fever? Most important thing is to keep her hydrated, if water and pedialyte are a no go you can water down her milk provided that's not causing it. I used maximum strength desiring for his rash and it helped. Warm and wet wipes very softly... We didn't do baths every day as the warm bath hurt him but cleaning him with washcloths worked ok. Good luck!

    Mom from July 2013 here.  My daughter is 17 months old and on some days, will have as many as five bowel movement a day.  Some times its more formed, other times its more loose.  I did ask the pedi about it at her 15-month check up and he said just to keep an eye out for discomfort, mucus, etc.  As for the rash, she had a bad case of rash a couple of months ago and we started to use Triple Cream Ointment.  Its price ($25+ a canister) but very much worth it.  You can buy it at your local pharmacy.

    I'm a lurker, so I hope you don't mind my posting... I'll second and third the pp about triple paste! My son has sensitive skin and this is was works best when he gets a rash.
