Hi,
I am new to the boards, but not new to TTC. My DH and I have been TTC for almost 2 years. I was diagnosed with PCOS last October 2013, after not getting a period for 6 months. I lurked around here back then on my screen name from theknot, but I didn't really want to post much since it was a pretty recognizable name... they don't warn you that you may have TTTC when you're picking out your futuremrssoandso knot screenname!! Anyway, I got the advice to see a RE here, which turned out to be decent advice though I'm about 99% sure my last RE was only in it for the money... I switched REs in October 2014, and my new one seems MUCH better so far. I've decided to return to the boards as a full fledged member with the hope of getting more advice and support from people going through the same thing, since I am reticent to share my story with many people in 'real' life and the journey has been less than stellar so far.
My husband and I are planning to start treatment back up in the new year, and our new RE has given us the choice of IUI or IVF. Last January, my husband's SA was great aside from the morphology (1%... old RE told us all was 'great' and had us doing TI so we had no idea until new RE explained what it meant), but he retook it and it is above 4% now (6%)... wahoo! Thus, our new RE is giving us the option of IUI or IVF. Since starting with her, I started on metformin, which we are hoping will make it easier to 'control' my cycles. As some background, I've had 2 cycles cancelled due to overstimulation on injectibles with old RE, and most of my others had issues such as thin lining on letrozole. My husband and I are still undecided on which option to choose, but I'll save my overanalysis on that issue for a future post

As another side note, my old RE mentioned that I had a tilted uterus during my HSG last year, but said it was nothing to worry about.. not sure if I trust him about that, but went with it back then. I had almost forgotten until I was writing this intro so I'm emailing my new RE now to get her thoughts (this board is already helping just to write out my history!! haha

).
Anyway, I hope that wasn't too complicated for a bunch of people who are just hearing my back story for the very first time. I am looking forward to getting to know you ladies as we continue our journey!

On the cycles you overstimmed, what dosage did the old RE have you on? Maybe your new RE can put you on a lower dose along with additional monitoring appointments to adjust accordingly. It's a hard decision to pick between doing IUI vs IVF, what recommendation did your RE give you. Wishing you the best of luck and hope your stay with us a short one.
