Intro BOTB and pretty much TTC

Hi all! I was on the What To Expect When Expecting boards with my first two pregnancies. It was great - especially the first time, but I wanted to try The Bump this time. I'm 31 DH is 34. We have two boys 5 and 2 1/2. DH and I have gone back and forth about waiting as we'd like to have a bit more stability and move before another baby, but we have a lot of good things going on and plan to move this coming summer - so we decided to go for it. The biggest factor is spacing. I loved having my 1st two about 3 years apart and I really don't want much more of a gap. I went off the BCP last a month and had a period a few weeks later. I said we would be "casual" not really try - but just be open to what ever happens. Yeah right! If I don't get a BFP this cycle, I know I'm not going to be able to resist pulling out the o'le basal body thermometer to be more intentional. With my second DS I knew the day I ovulated and I literally felt implantation. It was pretty amazing. Anyway, I don't know if this is the right board or if should move to TTGP, but I wanted to introduce myself. I'm excited to try for the last LO :)

  • Welcome! The TTGP board is a great one too and has quite a bit more traffic than BOTB. This is as honest question (no snark intended), but how do you "feel implantation"? It would be awesome if I knew the minute we conceived, it just seems crazy considering all of the "Am I prego?" post that happen around here.

  • Thanks! I was just talking to DH and mid sentence stopped as a strong tiny jab feeling very low in my pelvis area made me suck in my breathe. I felt the same thing in the same spot multiple times over the next few days. At the end of the 2WW I had a BFP. Later, my ultrasound showed the placenta placement in the same area I had felt that painful jab sensation. I guess I'll never know for sure, but we were actively trying and I felt so in tune and aware of my body and cycle. Now, trying to just be all nonchalant - I miss being so aware of what was going on with my cycle...

  • In fact, I wouldn't go to the TTGP community WITHOUT looking at the newbie blog.
