At this point it's probably just water retention and bloat. My first pregnancy I worried a ton about my weight. I had worked really hard to maintain a healthy weight for the 5 years prior and it was hard watching the scale go up. I gained 30 lbs in the end. I had a beautiful baby and 6 months pp I was 5lbs lighter then before. Don't stress, eat mostly healthy and try to stop looking at the scale. Your doctor will keep you on track.
I'm up about 4 lbs. I have to eat something pretty consistently or I end up sick. Hopefully that ends here pretty soon. I normally gain about 15 lbs between first and second trimester and then another 15 lbs in third trimester. For 30 altogether. We'll see if this pregnancy runs similar to my last two.
I keep thinking I've gained a pound or two, but a few days later I'm back to basically my normal weight. I've been fluctuating up to 4 lbs above my normal weight, but not sure any of it is real weight gain vs. water retention, bloating etc. I'm eating a lot more than normal, and lots of carbs, so I'd expect to see some gain, but it doesn't seem to be more than half a pound or so at this point.
Three pounds as of this morning, but I think at least a pound of that will come off this week. Not by trying to lose, I just ate like crap over the weekend. Pizza and ice cream were all that sounded good.
I am 9 weeks and 3 days...I'm overweight, so with cutting out soda and making a point to eat healthier snacks/ more fruits and veggies, I'm actually down 5.6 lbs. I'm NOT trying to lose weight AT ALL but the changes are so the little one can utilize some good fuel to grow (with the occasional Taco Bell...sometimes I give in to the cravings). I think there's also a diuretic effect with how much I've been peeing. I'm sure I'll probably put on some weight in the next few weeks!
I didn't gain any weight with my first pregnancy, in fact once DS was born I dropped 20lbs! I've actually lost 11 lbs but I'm very overweight so...yea! I'm nauseous most of the time and I have food aversions (just like with my first pregnancy) so my diet is pretty much limited to soups and seafood. I'm pretty sure my doc wouldn't recommend me gaining anymore than 10-11 lbs.
I'm up about 8-10lbs. I ate paleo but with dairy before I was pregnant and now I'm eating mostly carbs because it's all that stays down. So my diet changed a lot. I'm not at all concerned about this, I do feel bad that I'm not eating as nutritiously as I could be. That's something to tackle when the ms passes.
I don't want to know... As I eat a pizza and drink chocolate milk for lunch. This kid only wants junk food.
@DaryHermione I'm in the same boat I think. I *want* to blame my weight gain (about 7 pounds or so) on bloat/water retention, but I know deep down inside that I have really just not been eating healthy foods or healthy portions lately...
I have not weighed myself. I stressed about this with my first two pregnancies and gained 33 and 35 lbs. my dr was never concerned. This time I'm making an effort not to stress and to enjoy especially since it's my last.
Ill be 10 weeks Wednesday and ive lost weight than gain.. I was 171 and now im 165 but havent had too much morning sickness or anything i just dont have an appetite.. Hope this is normal

Same for me.
In my past pregnancies I've gained A LOT of weight (60 and 70 pounds, respectively). With DD I started at 162 and delivered her when I weighed 212. With DS I started at 132 and delivered him when I weighed 202. With DD I ate well and exercised 3x/week. With DS I ate well but had to nix exercise after a few bleeding episodes. I'm convinced that my body just needs that weight to sustain a healthy pregnancy/nursing. With DD I was back to my pre-pregnancy weight at 8 months pp. With DS, I never got to pre-pregnancy weight but that's because prior to pregnancy I'd had some gut issues going on that caused me to lose too much weight. I got to a healthy weight (140) at 11 or 12 months pp.
That being said, I do worry about weight gain. I weighed in at 162.5 the day I found out I was pregnant, and yesterday I weighed in at 166.5. I know some of that is bloat, but I am already dreading weigh-ins and lectures from my doctors about weight gain. It's my least favorite thing.

1st apt weight was 165, went in Thurs I was up to 169 and then today back down to 165. I attribute it to the lovely Senekot! So technically no gain at 10 weeks.
8w3d, I'm attributing my 4 pounds to all the fast food I've been eating. My usual vegetables and chicken make me want to vom, gym makes me want to vom
Me too! I'm 8w5d & prior to pregnancy I ate very healthy (almost always chicken & veggies) & went to the gym often. Now I can't even look at raw chicken, definitely can't cook it. All I can stomach most of the time is fast food. & I'm too sick to go to the gym. The struggle is real.

I started the same weight as you and have gained the same. Not a competition but thought that was cool.
I weighed in this morning about 2 lbs lighter than where I started. I was eating like crazy before and now that nausea and vomiting have hit, I'm hardly eating. I just want to sleep all day. I'm actually afraid to eat.
