we are giving ivf a second go round. First cycle we had 2 good embryos out of the whole cycle. We put both back in only to end in a chemical pregnancy. Has anyone had luck after having a chemical pregnancy? My RE said to look at it as a good thing because at least we were able to get pregnant I just am having a really hard time getting positive about this cycle.
Re: Ttc after chemical pregnancy
Please read the sticky that says "Read This Before Posting Here" before posting again and please post an intro. We like to know who we are talking to!
And any Dr that told me "At least you can get pregnant" would be a Dr that I would no longer be seeing.

As far as what your doctor said, I understand why some people would find that comment disconcerting. I've had a doctor say that to me after my second loss. I was not offended for the simple fact that I had been under an IF diagnosis and told I could never get pregnant on my own. The fact of pregnancy occurring says something. I don't know your history but I can understand why the RE (even though the comment can be insensitive) would look at any pregnancy as a sign of something positive - and add it to all of the other information they have about you in order to decide what to do differently next time.
You said you had two good embabies out of that cycle. Did you have a lot of mature follies? Who many eggs fertilized and out of those how many made it to day 3 or day 5 before arresting? What was the grade of your two that were implanted? This is all information that might help the other IVF ladies on this board answer questions. Is your doctor planning on changing your treatment plan to try to improve response?
One other thing to consider, and maybe this is your doctor's protocol already, but if you do another cycle and have more than one embryo that is implanted, will your doctor let you do an additional beta after the one that shows a drop in HCG and continue on progesterone until those results come back? Lots of REs don't but early betas, especially with multiples embabies, can be wonky.
