So we know that bulky snowsuits and jackets are a no-no in the carseat.
What are your strategies for keeping the little one warm inside the car
and on the trip to/from the car? Our car is freezing in the AM and
takes a while to warm up. We also have to walk for a bit to reach the
car through a cold parking structure so I'm looking for ideas. TIA!
BTW: We can't afford an automatic starter so what other options are there?
Re: Snowsuits, Carseats and Cold Cars in the Morning
Anyways, you could wrap thick blankets around LO and put her coat on, on the way to the car then tuck the blanket around LO's legs. My DD will kick the blankets off in the car though. We were in a parade yesterday and I pulled out her leg warmers from last year and put them under her pants (her legs are a lot skinnier than last year). You could also do thin layers so 2 pairs of pants, a long sleeve t-shirt and a fleece over. Those shouldn't be too bulky in the car.... and put a hat on. You're supposed to lose like 70 something % if your body heat through your head....
