Hoping to get out of busy season ;)

This may be a bit of a dear diary but... I am a tax accountant and we have two pretty big busy seasons, one in the spring and one in the fall (Sept & Oct). With the way our maternity leave policy works out I would need to get pregnant by the end of December in order to be gone before the Fall busy season really got underway. Dont get me wrong, I will be happy to get pregnant at any point in the next year, but it would be extra awesome if I could not be around for the Fall busy season because it SUCKS. Most people at my office work 55-70 hour weeks for the two months leading up to October 15th. I am not looking forward to it in the least. Of course if I was Prego I would probably not have to worry too much about it because I think it would be pretty easy to say , hey give the pregnant lady a break, but still, its super stressful. Anyway, I should be ovulating towards the end of next week so heres me crossing my fingers that this is my lucky month!

I read someone's weekly check and they were stating how much they would love to have a Leo! Well dangit I'm a Leo and I'd love to have a little leo too... but obviously just wanting ain't getting. Here's hoping we all get our desire very soon!

me too! I run corporate events and from Labor day through this coming week I am SUPER busy. would LOVE to get out of the fall season next year

I'm a banker in Canada and would love to miss either the RSP deadline in February or the end of the fiscal year in October! Not a silly wish at all. We all have our hopes...I've just been trying for over a year now, so I will take anything I can get.

Working in finance, I can relate. For me my busy season is couple months leading up to year end as I create the Budget for the next year and year end as we finalize the books and perform variance and projection analysis. We will be ending our busy season mid month next month. Got to love this 12+ hour days.

If I get pregnant this month I'll be off work during my busiest season, but that stresses me out more than excites me because it's when a lot of my yearly programs begin at work and it's harder to prepare for a substitute than just do it myself. However, we are still trying this month because I guess I can't be picky and should just be grateful if we get a BFP even if it means work stress!
