Cloth Diapering

newborn cover question

I only bought a few nb covers to try out, and planned to get more of what worked best. I like the Thirsties Duo Wraps, Rumparooz nb, and Blueberry Mini Coveralls. For those of you that have used any of those, which ones fit the longest? Do any of those fit over the GMD size small prefolds and workhorses?

Thank you!

Re: newborn cover question

  • I think we wore the blueberry the longest.

  • Not tons of experience here but I went with 8 nb RaR with snaps and it has worked out great. They fit over the small workhorses that my 13 lbs 7 week old is wearing now. But he is big! I will probably stop putting them over workhorses in the next week or so but they'd still probably be fine with prefolds for awhile.

  • I think the Thirsties fit the longest for us, but all 3 worked for about the same amount of time. The RaR one size was the first OS cover to start fitting well (even before he outgrew the NBs) so you might try one of those, too.

  • I agree that coveralls fit the longest. I can still use them over a small workhorse at almost 4 months--and he's outgrowing the workhorse faster than he's outgrowing the cover if that makes any difference.

Nope. Refuse to believe F is 4 months @theultimatesak‌.

so what you're saying is that I have to add mini coveralls to my list?

I only have Thirsties from what you listed, but ditto SAK. G is outgrowing the yellow edge snappi'd before the cover. The extra bulk from the reds is what makes me put him in OS/size 2s.
