Are you finding it difficult to walk for too long? I feel like my belly weighs a ton after a while, not to mention that I feel like I have to pee every five minutes. I had to stop after 45 minutes today because I was so uncomfortable.
Yep, same thing. I usually do 30 min, then do something else, then possibly do more. Our Y is strict on how many minutes you spend on a machine though (supposed to do only 20 actually I think during peak times), so I wouldn't even try 45 min.
45 mins....good for you!!! I have an easier time on the "Arc Trainer", its like an elliptical machine. I get crazy side/belly cramps walking for a long time.
i can walk for a long time, but the longer i walk the slower i have to make the speed. its pretty sad. i used to walk at speed 4 for an hr, now im like under 3 if I go that long. and my treadmill is at home, so i take TONS of bathroom breaks, just pause it and come back.
I was only doing 35 minutes at a time, but increasing the incline every 5 minutes. Now I don't increase it as much and only walk a little over 30 minutes--I even lowered the speed just a tad. I just can't do it as well as I did before!!
I have been doing between 4 and 5 times a week for 50 minutes but like I said today I could barely get to 45 mintues and I think I was down to 2.8 by then for speed.
I use one of those velrco support belts that help take the pressure off my lower stomach and back. I walk 45 minutes 3-4 days a week, I usually aim for 2 to 2.5 miles.
