After some discussion...

I know I said I was going to leave this board for awhile but I decided against it, for a few reasons.  The main reason is that this board is my support system and I need all of you guys to help me through this process.  After the wife and I talked, we decided to give it one more go this month with an IUI.  We cancelled my Bahamas 30th birthday trip so that we could pay for the treatment this month.  I went today (CD3) for a sonogram and everything looks good.  The plan this month is Clomid which I started today, the trigger shot and then two back to back inseminations.  I am trying to stay positive considering this is out 6th IUI.  If this does not work we are going to take a few months and save up for IVF.  Sorry about my post the other day,  I was pretty heartbroken, I think my sister calling to tell me that one of my sisters is pregnant hurt me pretty bad.  My sister is addicted to drugs, 19 years old and does not have a job so it upsets me that I can't get pregnant.  Either way, when it's my time I know it will happen.  We are leaving for Kansas City on Wednesday night to see some friends of mine in Kansas (that's where I am from).  I am looking forward to the time off work and the relaxation.  I am guessing my IUI will be around the 20th or so.  I am hoping that I get a great 30th Birthday present (29th of Jan.) and find out I am pregnant.  Thank you all for your amazing support, I couldn't ask for better cyber friends:)

  • Thank you everyone:) you guys are all so great!
  • It was lucky #6 for us and I hope it is the same for you! We had purchased 6 vials of sperm and so it was our last one. If I didn't get pregnant, we were going to take a break for a few months to figure out our next move, but in reality it was going to mean the end of our TTC journey, since saving for IVF was not a realistic option. And I ended up pregnant, and now I have a little boy who will be 2 in a couple of weeks.

I'm sending you lots of good luck and I hope it is lucky #6 for you as well!

The story on the other hand can never be lost from its place in the world for it is that place.” ― Cormac McCarthy, The Crossing
