I woke up at 1:20am on 12/4 with what felt like a bit of discharge/leakage so I went to the bathroom to figure out what was going on and realized my water broke.
I wanted to let my husband sleep just in case I was wrong and figured if it was labor he needed to get as much sleep as possible! So I went to the kitchen and got on Pinterest only to have my back start hurting pretty bad.
I woke my DH up around 2:40am told him what was going on and then I jumped in the shower because I felt it super important to wash my hair

While I was in the shower my contractions got really intense. So, I called my midwife to let her know that my water broke and that I had been timing the contractions and that I had 18 within that hour, averaging about 48 seconds long.
I then started blow drying my hair and I was having a really hard time being able to focus because of the pain in my back.
So I started doing some of the "exercises" to turn him into a better position and it was crazy painful. Like crazy painful. I ended up throwing up 4 times and the only thing that was comfortable was walking.
I had been planning to have an all natural birth, but was starting to doubt myself that I could do it at this point because it was so intense so early in the process.
As my DH was getting all our bags in the car and showering, I had him call my midwife back around 5am and told her I think I needed to come in. Contractions were about 67 seconds long and about 2 minutes, 47 seconds apart.
I really felt like I was being a drama queen by having to go to the birth center so early in the game, but I wanted her to check me so I knew where I was and what to expect.
About 5:10am, As I was walking thru my hall to get in the car a crazy strong contraction hit and I literally started pushing and I kinda freaked out because I knew that I shouldn't be pushing and I definitely shouldn't be pushing while I was still home. My DH worked really hard to calm me down and got me in the car. Luckily, our birth center is only about 12-15 minutes away because I had 2 more "oh my god, I'm pushing" contractions on the way. We finally get to the birth center and my midwife met me in the parking lot where I had another contraction.
She immediately got me in my room and checked me and I was already dilated to 10, so I got in the bathtub and pretty much started birthing him immediately. Within just a few minutes his head was out and I had 2 more contractions but his shoulders were stuck with his head being out and still in water so the MW told me to get out and get on all fours on the bed that the baby was stuck.
So somehow, I managed to walk to the bed with a head sticking out my lady bits and finished delieving my little 9 pound 8 oz chunky monkey at 5:56am.
The nurse didn't even make it to the birth and Finley wasn't pinking up fast enough so my husband ended up being his nurse and rubbing him down and giving him oxygen while my MW was taking care of me.
So, it was a crazy labor with it being less than 6 hours from start to finish and a super easy birth of my firstborn besides him gettin stuck. Recovery has been really easy also, we were home by 11am the same day so it been just us 3 bonding and learning the ropes.
He is an amazingly easy baby who likes to cuddle and eat a lot!

Sorry for any typos & bad grammar, hopefully it makes sense
