Hey all. Had my a/s today (go team pink!) and Dr. was a little concerned. Said that my fluid looked a little low and that there seemed to be a slight issues with the baby's kidneys (they seemed to be connected as opposed to two separate entities). He was a little concerned but not overly worried, and just asked that I come back for a follow up US in a few weeks. Have any others ever had low fluid or the kidney problem? Did it pan out to an issue or resolve on its own? I'm not looking for medical advice, just "been there, done that". Thank you in advance
Re: Low Fluid?
It's a scary thing to hear so early in pregnancy but the odds are good that things will turn out to be normal by your next sonogram. Congrats on the baby girl!
Thank you all for the wishes, you're all such supportive and wonderful women. I truly appreciate it.
At the anatomy ultrasound with our son I was found to have no amniotic fluid and was sent to a perinatologist for a level 2 ultrasound which confirmed that he did not have any kidneys. Sometimes kidneys can be a little dilated or have an obstruction that can cause the low fluid. Thoughts and prayers to you! Keep us updated.
All, I thank you so much for the good vibes. I'll be sure to update after my next scan
