Question for GD moms

Hey there.  Looking for anyone else's experiences with first taking insulin. I have been rushed into this dx very recently and started testing 4xs/day.  I joined the GD check-ins this week, but don't know anyone yet. :)  After having a few days with elevated fasting blood sugars, my doc ordered 30units of insulin at 9pm.  Just took my first dose and shortly after I had a rush of nausea and dizziness and wanting to crawl out of my skin.  It passed pretty quickly and blood sugar was fine (I plan to take it again before bed) but am wondering if anyone else has experienced anything like this.  It was pretty freaky and my hubby has asked me 5 times in last 20 mins how I am feeling!!

    I'm on insulin. But my doses are stretched throughout the day based on my levels before each meal. Haven't had the nausea or dizziness unless I've taken my insulin and didn't eat. My Dr told me never take my insulin if I won't be eating within 10 minutes of doing so. Are you eating at least a light snack after you take it?

    Yeah I did and it passed pretty quickly so I wasn't too worried but it was weird
