AW - NBR Positive thoughts needed

So a couple of months ago my company started in the process of being acquired by one of our competitors. My company is finally getting to the end of the process and we found out today that the last day for the company will be next Friday. Needless to say I am freaking out. DH and I knew what was going on and this was why we were NTNP, but timing had us preggo in the middle of all of this.

I had an informational interview with a couple men at the acquiring company to see if they had a particular fit for me. I should hear by early next week if I am getting an offer of employment. Even if I am not given an initial offer there are several positions with them that I plan to apply for. Given this stress I may be taking a short break from TB to focus on finding a new job before I get too far into my second trimester.

I am more hoping for a position with this company because a) it is an industry I know b) my tenure at my current job transitions into a job there c) benefits are comparable to my current company and d) they offer 10 weeks of PAID maternity leave that I would qualify for because they will treat employees from my company as existing employees from their company.

Please if you have a moment to send any positive thoughts my way to get a position with this company I will be beyond grateful! Thanks ladies!

So I just got an email from one of the guys I interviewed with saying he thinks I am going to hear from their HR department next week to set up an interview for one of the departments there!!! I'm trying to not over think this, but I am so hopeful. Thank you for the positive thoughts!! I will keep you all updated as I hear more!

Sorry to AW and bump this, but I'm still hoping to hear something early this week. So continued thoughts are appreciated! I know my company plans to take care of us for the next few months, but having a job or getting one in the near future would be best.
