Anywhere chair question

I should have taken a picture and now I'm at work and can't. So, apologies in advance for that.

Our anywhere chair arrived last night and of course we immediately assembled it. Has anyone else encountered that the foam doesn't fit in the slip cover well? The area where Hayley's tush rests is all loose and doesn't stay tight with the slip cover. Call me crazy, but I expected more from a seat that cost so damn much and gets so much love.

So tell me, is this normal? Will it improve? Did I get a lemon? Or am I doing it wrong?

  • I think we should ask @kamakaziartist‌! Because I love it when she talks anywhere chairs! :D

    You beat me to it!!
  • @wedding06‌ @klongoria11‌ I'm pretty sure they are the correct size, they fit in the slip cover but it just looks crappy once assembled. I didn't put it in the dryer to get out the wrinkles because hayley was jumping all over it, waiting was not an option, but I feel like that's cosmetic - what's bothering me is more a fit problem. I'll have to take a picture when I get home.

Yes @kamakaziartist‌ and @CFox815‌ share your wisdom- between the two of you there have been like what 100 of these put together right?
  • Be sure it's the right size. We got the right slipcover but the wrong foam insert when it was delivered. Once we got the right pieces it for together like a glove.
Can't figure out the signature thing, so here's the short, short version.....first daughter born on November 10, 2013. She was conceived through the magic of IVF after 2+ years of TTC.
  • Ok so mine looks just like the picture foxy posted. That's the ass sag I referred to. In addition, and again this is likely user error, here is what my edging looks like (see attached), its not flush with the cushions and is sparking some OCD over here.

I didn't want the piping just for this reason, but MIL purchased it, not me. So- is this worthy of an exchange or am I nitpicking? image
  • So I just pulled it out of the slip cover and took my time to reassemble it, much easier sans Hayley, I think this is better. Perhaps it was user error. I'm still not happy with the seat piping, but that I can live with. image
  • Ps. Should I be concerned that my own rear end is a perfect fit for this thing?
  • @CFox815‌ absolutely! And make sure he uses the Velcro tabs I ignored the first go around, they were crucial. I just chased my husband away with house hunters, not even the liquor helped him deal with that.
  • I'm so glad these chairs are so worth it to so many people and can go anywhere. #blessed

Who has babies who sit in chairs? My baby is always trying to get out of sitting in things. Team high chair escapee. I'm not buying any chairs for her anywhere.
IVF, acupuncture, meditation and a miracle.

  • @CFox815‌ the tabs are on the inside, at first they look useless, then you discover they secure the arm foam- it's life changing.

Also Hayley might not get to actually sit in this for a while- she uses it to launch herself off- which was giving my DH heart palpitations earlier.

My seat piping is off too and it drives me insane. But when I fix it C jumps on it and it moves again.
@CarrieB‌ there is very little sitting going on at my house. He uses it to climb and it's also like his home base. He gets a new toy and he brings it to his chair to examine. He also uses it as a slide and a trampoline.

Same. Also as a step stool to make it easier to climb onto our recliner.
  • Ours is basically a really expensive ladder.. image

While we're annoying @kamakaziartist‌, did anyone get theirs in sherpa? I wanted something neutral since a major destination on the Anywhere circuit is the living room, and we have color wars in here enough as it is. I thought the white was nice.
I'm seriously considering this one. DH says no. Because it's white. But .. can't ruin my color scheme in the great room. Can't. Won't. Not even for baby furniture.

I wanted Sherpa but worried it wouldn't be used in summer . You are brave to do white- but I bet it will be beautiful!
