Week/Size: 29 Weeks / Big enough to take my breathe away with one good kick.
Rants/Raves/Appointments: I have my next appt on Thursday the 11th--they are every two weeks now! Also, I am so happy it is Friday--I have rarely been SO TIRED at the end of a work week. I'm just not sleeping very well, I think: DH is travelling for work this week, and I hate being in the apartment alone for so long! I can't wait to pick him up this afternoon and be DONE with this work week.
I did realize that I have less than forty work days left before I start my leave on February 13th. Yay!
GTKY: What are you up to this weekend? My shower is tomorrow. I am so excited! My parents and MIL and grandmothers are all coming to our apartment for the shower. I LOVE having people come to me, but our parents almost never visit--we always have to visit them. I guess that will change soon. :-) Also, we have a second appt with our realtors this weekend. We're hoping to buy a home...but we want to do it by the end of January. Eep! Here's to hoping we get it done quickly!!
Week/Size: 30-Cucumber..WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!? Idk why but I feel like hitting 30 just makes things "real" haha
Rants/Raves/Appointments: 30 week apt is on Tuesday!
GTKY: What are you up to this weekend? Preparing for Childbirth classes on Saturday and Sunday morning, picking up the nursery furniture and hopefully having a finished nursery by Sunday night!!
Rants/Raves/appointments: My next appointment is the 16th. It better not be anything like my last one on Wednesday. I sat in the waiting room for a solid hour and a half before getting brought back to see the dr. I know things happen and drs get behind but seriously an hour and a half. Then I didn't even see my dr. I finally told them I didn't care who I saw as long as I was out of there ASAP. Ugh I hate waiting rooms.
GTKY: @wintersong139 my shower is also this weekend and I'm so excited. I now live 2 hrs away from my family and I only get to see them about once a month, so I can't wait for my mom and sisters to come visit. I always end up having to go to their house to see them, which is getting rather annoying and uncomfortable the further along I am.
30 weeks, ahh, the thirties have arrived!!! Size, huge...according to my measurements yesterday, measuring 40 weeks...geezus!!
I just realized that next week will be my last week with NO appointments, after that I'll be seen by my MFM or my OB every week until the girls arrive!!
This weekend...couch shopping with the ILs, should be fun.
F15 January Siggy Challenge: What I'm Looking Forward to After the Babies Arrive Bringing them both home...UPDATE...The girls are home!!! 1/7/15 after 20 days in the NICU!
Rants/Raves/Appointments: Have an info session on labor+delivery today, next appt. isn't until Christmas eve though. I brought a cold back from Thanksgiving travel so that
s fun - luckily my boss is out of town for the next 2 weeks and I could take this week kinda easy.
GTKY: What are you up to this weekend? A lot. Getting our Christmas tree and decorating the house (yay!), trying to pick out some paint for the nursery, trying to find places for all the baby things we got at the shower, raking some leaves, and some assorted Christmas shopping. In addition to the normal every weekend laundry+cleaning+grocery shopping etc.
Rants/Raves/Appointments: My rant is that DH has a dentist appt this morning so I was up before him. It totally threw me off my morning groove. ugh. My rave is that I am also sleeping better thanks to a friend lending me her never used pregnancy pillow! yay. I am now on biweekly appts and have one on Wednesday! I cannot believe we are this close!!
GTKY: What are you up to this weekend? This is a rough weekend for our family. My DH's cousins funeral is tomorrow. He left behind 3 girls under the age of 8 and a pregnant wife. It will be a very sad day.
Other than that, we will be preparing our house to host a white elephant party and doing a little baby supply shopping
Appt/Rants/Raves: Just had 28 on Monday everything good so far, every two weeks now, and still have to have ultrasound every six to make sure he is growing well. On another note having trouble sleeping due to increasingly sore body, and wicked nightmares!
GTKY: My parents visited last week and surprised us with an early Christmas present! They bought us out crib, changing table, and wardrobe for baby's room, so DH and I will be putting together furniture! I also need to send out my Christmas cards and start baking cookies!
Rants/Raves/Appointments: I had to take the 3 hour GTT this week and I have enormous bruises on my arms now. But I passed!! Woooo!! Routine appointment next Thursday, meeting a third MW so that's good!
GTKY: What are you up to this weekend? Eeeeeek "prenatal class" at the hospital all weekend! DH and I are sort of assuming it'll be a waste of time but whatever, at least we'll get to see the place and maybe learn something.
Rants/Raves/Appointments: Had a good week…passed my 3 hr GTT and had an u/s to see LO. Next OB appointment is Monday. I'm on two weeks now as well.
GTKY: What are you up to this weekend? Making a trip to IKEA, going to a chili cook off Saturday and a Christmas party Sunday. Should be a busy, but fun weekend!
Rants/Raves/Appointments: stating to feel those 3rd tri symptoms (indigestion, back pain, leg cramps) but am very thankful I can still sleep pretty well. Also my emotions are going crazy. Almost cried last week cause no one saved me a Danish (obviously tear worthy). Just had an appt Monday so I won't go back for another 2 weeks. Baby girl is also moving and kicking which makes me so happy!!
GTKY: What are you up to this weekend? Dinner with my parents tonight ( weekly tradition) then probably relaxing and cleaning my house. To everyone having their shower this weekend, enjoy!!!!
Rants/Raves/Appointments: My stomach still hasn't settled from being sick Sunday and Monday/No symptoms other than what's to be expected. Jon is still head down (WOO!) and they moved me up 2 days so I'm taking advantage of it and enjoying my ticker changing a few days early cos I'm THAT guy Also, I graduate at the end of next week and that's been MUCH awaited and is LONG overdue! /Get to see Dr. Hottie for an adjustment today, DS gets his first adjustment from Dr. Hottie today (if he lets the doc touch him) and the 1st of my 2 week appts is Wednesday morning! I can't believe it's getting so close to D-Day!
GTKY: What are you up to this weekend? Best friends' birthday party is tonight so I'm gonna partner up with her brother for beer pong and make him drink for both of us. DS has his first friend from school birthday party tomorrow afternoon. Probably doing something with dad on Sunday since his birthday is tomorrow and he has a gig tomorrow night so he'll be busy. Gonna be a crazy weekend!

F15 January Siggy Challenge: What You're Looking Forward To After Baby's Born
Rants/raves/appointments: had 3 hour test Monday and passed! Had 28 week appointment Tuesday and it went well, I hope this doctor will do my c section come time. Also, this week was mentally pivotal for me to pass, as it's when I went on bedrest with DD and had my first placenta previa bleed with her. So even though PP is not an issue, it definitely feels like a mental victory!
Plans this weekend: putting up Christmas tree; date night with DH tomorrow night and three other couples. Have a sitter for the kids and super excited to be a couple tomorrow night!
ETA: @dorothygale01 No set date for me to quit working either. Although I will eventually get a date for my c section, my water broke with both kids at 37 weeks. So I will work until I can't. I just want all 60 days with baby of at all possible
Our family is growing by two feet and we couldn't be happier!
@dorothygale01 i have no set maternity leave date either. Now that I'm working half days, I figured I'd just work until one of my docs tells me not to. The half days have been so much more manageable for me!
F15 January Siggy Challenge: What I'm Looking Forward to After the Babies Arrive Bringing them both home...UPDATE...The girls are home!!! 1/7/15 after 20 days in the NICU!
Rants/Raves/Appointments: GTT on the 15th, feeling lots of kicks and movements
GTKY: What are you up to this weekend? My brother gets into town tomorrow! I haven't seen him in 2.5 years, he's meeting DD for the first time as well. I am so excited!
Week/Size: 28/ eggplant!
Rants/Raves/Appointments: passed the GTT test this past Monday! One more 4-week appointment then every 2 weeks. Eek!
GTKY: What are you up to this weekend? Hoping to motivate the husband to help get the tiny human room ready. We'll see how that goes!
Rants/Raves/Appointments: Feeling pretty good. Some moments I have tons of energy, other moments I can barely get off the couch though. It's weird and kind of annoying.
GTKY: What are you up to this weekend? We are heading to Disney's Spectacle of Dancing Lights tomorrow night. We go every year, I am so excited!!
Rants/Raves/Appointments: Had my 28 week appt Wednesday and all was great. Now on every two weeks - CRAZY! I booked a 3d u/s for a few weeks from now which is exciting. I haven't seen little man since September so I'd love to get another peek soon, though I appreciate so much being low risk and not NEEDING more.
Am I the only person who doesn't have a scheduled start to maternity leave? I literally work till I pop (or a doc tells me I have to stop), so I have no idea how many days left. It all depends on Henry. My long term sub is just going to be on standby to know when she has to start showing up.
GTKY: What are you up to this weekend? First HAVE FUN to those with showers!! I'm probably just spending the weekend working on the around the house stuff that needs done. Nesting, activate!
I'm scheduling a start because Bubz will be born right after the beginning of a new semester. Since my school is on a four by four schedule, this means they will start all new classes the first week of February. It is just really stinking convenient to teach the first week (wjen schedules are still being sorted out, anyway), and then let the sub take over for the rest of the semester--it makes it more of the sub's classroom that way, and I think a little bit easier for whomever they hrie. Plus I want to try to have as much time as I reasonably can before Bubz gets here to relax and nest. :-)
@dorothygale01 my department chair is insistent on having a date. Frankly, I'd rather just wait until I can't work anymore, especially since besides using my banked sick days, my leave is unpaid. They posted the job for the sub to start February 9 and work that week alongside me and I would train him/her, then the person would take over February 16 possibly... I don't know, we'll see.
Can they insist on a date? I mean, unless they are paying your maternity leave to be out...can't you just keep saying, "I don't know when the baby will be born?" Then it is up to them to decide if they want to pay a sub for the time while you are there, too. I do get the need for a date for the sub to be available---like, even though I am not planning on going out until the 13th, and will probably come back at the beginning of June, the sub will be told to be able to make a commitment from the first of the month until summer.
Rants/Raves/Appointments: I have my next appointment with my family doctor on Dec 17th and my first OB appointment on Dec 22nd
GTKY: What are you up to this weekend? Just working nights and Sunday is our family Christmas with my Dads extended family. (We do it early because it is hard for all the aunts and uncles and cousins to get together at Christmas time now that we are all married and have spouses families to visit as well.)
