Where can I buy the softest, comfiest yoga pants that have ever existed?? Without spending a zillion dollars? I don't want to waste my money on less than perfection.
I bought two pairs of Spalding yoga pants at Tj maxx. They're regular yoga pants, not the foamy super spandexy ones. They are so awesome that I went back and bought two more (from Marshalls this time).
So I recommend checking out those stores first. They were only $13 each!
Both in black. Muji is one of my favorite stores - yes, I am a special snowflake, haha. But despite the hipsterishness of it, they sell really good quality and design for really good prices - and they are having a sale! So. Willpower gone.

;;)
Those seem more like pajama pants than yoga pants, but they look very comfy!
@Maebb, they are definitely not yoga pants. I might grab a pair of those, too, but not for a while longer.
I mostly wanted to have stuff ready for my hospital bag. The hoodie can keep me warm and zips in the front for easy breastfeeding. I can wear it over a nightgown or hospital gown, but I'd prefer to wear pants if possible. I also bought a nursing tank from Leading Lady today, so for now, my hospital ensemble is all set. One less nesting itch to scratch!
Victoria's Secret. They have a fold over top that I always kept folded over pre-pregnancy, but since my belly has expanded I've been wearing them unfolded so that the top part goes over my belly. They also make leggings that are just their yoga pants but with skinny legs that fit into boots perfectly... they're wonderful!

Why is this a poll, and why did you ask if you were going to ignore everyone's suggestions anyway?
I didn't plan on it, just found the sale while I started shopping around online. And I still find the suggestions helpful. I will keep them in mind for the future. Can't have too many pairs of yoga pants.
@irishgrover PLUS I posted this poll by accident, after my finger slipped on the keyboard and hit enter. So it's a pretty terrible poll. If I hadn't accidentally posted it, I might have realized that literally every store out there has their own version of a yoga pant, so adding all of the options would have been practically impossible, and I wouldn't have posted after all. :-/
Maybe someone else will find this helpful anyway, regardless of the bad formatting and the fact that I bought something completely different.

What she said. The Victoria's Secret ones with the fold over band have been my whole life lately. Loved them before pregnancy (with the band folded down) and I love them even more now (band up over my belly). So amazing.
I love Targets yoga pants.. they ride higher than most (I like them below the bellt button but not so low u might get a show like some do lol plus I'm having a c section so the fold over being higher than where the incision will b is important) n they have a thick fold band that goes over the bum n doesn't constantly ride or roll up.
Just as a heads up, you'll still be in maternity pants the first few weeks after the baby is born. It doesn't matter how much or little you gained. Your uterus needs time to shrink back to its original size. But new pants for after is always great!

I don't know; I was in my pre-pregnancy jeans less than a week post-partum, but they just didn't fit the same. Depending on the style and fit of pants and considering that everyone is different, I think some people could be in non-maternity clothes shortly after the baby is born.

Fixed that for ya. Sweeping generalizations and all.
I was either in maternity pants (jeans) or non-maternity yoga, PJ pants, and maxi skirts. I didn't fit in non-maternity jeans for dress pants for quite a while post-partum, but that is not true for everyone.
It's a good reminder to people, though, that it is totally fine if you ARE in maternity clothes for a while either for comfort or necessity.

The thread is about yoga pants. I'm in my pre pregnancy yoga pants as I type this and several people on here said they are in their same yoga pants. Not all of us gained so much weight that we don't fit in any leggings or stretch pants we had before. I just have a giant belly
My prepregnancy jeans didn't work a week postpartum, but i certainly couldn't keep maternity pants up. I wore yoga or swear pants at home and bought one pair of jeans in a size larger than normal at goodwill for when I went out.
I voted Gap Body because they are great but, my favorites are Nike Dri Fit and Zella. Dri fit you can get at the outlet mall for half the price and Zella is sold at Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack. Zella is so expensive so, I wait until they do they half off sale at Nordstrom. Zella is worth the extra money though as the "every day" leggings look great at work or with a hoodie. They wash super well too!

Honestly, I LOVE Victoria's Secret yoga pants, but they're a bit pricey...so if we're talking non-maternity and more reasonably priced, I'd definitely say Old Navy.
I've heard that generally you leave the hospital with a 5 month belly just to give you an idea. I'm still wearing non-maternity yoga pants though so I expect that they will fit after delivery. I think the biggest thing when considering post partum pants is that if you end up with a section you might need something that will not irritate the incision. I think the roll top yoga pants tend to be better for that, but I didn't have a section last time so I'm not the one to give advice there.

I could hold you for a million years
to make you feel my love.
After having DD, I found I was better off in pants that were non-maternity and one size larger than pre-pregnancy than any of my maternity clothes. My maternity pants only fit me for about a week post partum. After about two weeks, I could wear my usual size if the pants sat low and were really stretchy. I bought some loose pants with a fold-over waist from Old Navy that I think will work - and they were cheap, too. I wouldn't want to wear yoga pants (unless I guess they were really loose?) while wearing a big bulky pad.

I would go somewhere like REI or even TJ Maxx or Marshalls and try stuff on until you find something you like.

You're missing out BIG time. *Doing yoga is not a requirement to wearing yoga pants
I've had good luck with Target & Old Navy. . .comfy, cheap, & good quality. I'd say Lululemon but I don't think they make maternity size.
Motherhood has amazing maternity yoga pants.
