  My mom was an elementary school teacher in the 80's/90's = SCORE!!
  
  You can sometimes find them on Goodwill and EBay as well.

  Get a patterned turtleneck from Walmart with candy canes or holly on it and then get a tree skirt (the cheaper the better). I like the old school felt ones with a lovely scene on them, and put some elastic around the opening, wear it over your shoulders as a poncho!
