Nile or Ryot boys name?

We are between Ryot and Nile for a boys name? Which one do you prefer?

    Do these have some kind of family connection for you? 

    Nile is the fathers name and ryot is the name we both just love as it was a person off of amazing race.

    I agree with everyone else, unfortunately. Ryot is really, really unfortunate and Nile looks wrong. I really like Niles, but if you want Nile, I would go with Niall as pps have mentioned.

    Ryot is horrible and trust me, TRUST ME, that people will judge and scoff at you behind your backs forever more.  And you'll be perceived as dumb.  Really - you will.

    Ryot is really terrible. Why would you want your child's name to be associated with something so negative and violent? MN Nile (I don't like family members sharing names) and find a better FN for your LO.

    They're both horrible. Honestly I can't get past the fact that you're considering naming your child after Rebel Wilson's little brother.

    Nile is a river, Niles is a name. 

    You can do so much better.
    Just use them both. Uzi Danger...has a nice ring to it. You could call him Zee or Dan for short. :D

    Niles is okay, at least a real name

    Niall is a great alternative, I love it (not the Neil pronounciation, the other one)

    OP, aside from the fact that it's a terrible name, I want to pronounce it like R-yot. If you like Nile and think y's are "super cool" then what about Myles? It's a legit name and spelling. Although I think Father and son having rhyming names is weird.

    I actually like the name name Nile! But Riot is absolutely horrendous, if you name your child that everyone will talk about you and wonder if you were smoking crack when you thought of it. Sorry :(

    I'm seriously sick to my stomach that someone would have the audacity to even consider naming their poor child ryot. Like it's not even funny. It makes me sad. 

    For a girl, how about terraryst? Ginacyde?

    Edit: because even my spell check won't let me spell riot, ryot.
