There's been a lot going on in my little world and I apologize for not always being about to post. I'm very overwhelmed.
First, and most importantly, the babe is perfect. The babe's mama? .... not so much.
I have gallstones, and have had them prior to this pregnancy but being pregnant has exacerbated the problem. For a long time, I would just have a flare up about once every couple of months and it would last a few hours tops. Early in November I started having pain everyday, culminating in an 11 hour flare up with back pain, a new symptom for me. After calling the triage nurse, she told me to take a hot shower. That helped and the pain lessened with tylenol. The next night, same thing. Two hot showers later and the pain was escalating, so we went to the ER who transferred me straight to L&D. My expectations were that they were going to give me something for the pain and let me go. I need to have gallbladder surgery but not until after the babe is born. Pain meds weren't helping and my liver enzymes were off the charts so they admitted me and I stayed in the hospital for 4 days. So for now the plan is to drastically change my diet. I was already on a low fat diet but now I'm cutting out almost everything. And even then I'm scared to eat. I'll have surgery days after delivery, as long as I'm healthy.
I'm still having a racing pulse and heart palpitations. The hospital stay delayed the testing for that, but I wore a holter monitor for 24 hours and awaiting the results of that. Hoping it's nothing serious.
And if that wasn't enough, there's still my bitch of a placenta. The placenta is still low, I'm just not sure what percentage. I had an ER u/s and the tech said "Baby's head is down, and, oh, using the placenta as a pillow."

I have a more extensive u/s this Tuesday to find out more. My thoughts are racing when it comes to this. Will I start bleeding? Will I have to deliver early? I'm trying not to get ahead of myself until I have more info but it's hard not to.
Thanks for reading my drama update, now for the fun part!
Here's my third tri bump!! 27w3d - close enough to third tri that I'm calling it.

Good luck at your appointment Tuesday, hopefully your placenta has worked its way up, or at least is starting to. You still have time! FWIW I was also diagnosed with a low lying placenta at my a/s, and my original OB scheduled me to have it re-checked at 28w, however when I switched to the midwife she refused to check before 32w as she said a lot can change in those 4 weeks. Good luck!!

jan'15 january siggy challenge: baby fails
Sorry about the continued gallbladder problems. I've had it too and omfg is it painful. Hopefully the diet change will help, but I hear you with being scared to eat. The anticipation of the pain sucks.
The low lying placenta sounds like previa. Not sure about the bleeding risk, but I know that in most cases it moves north as the ute grows and that if it doesn't usually the biggest problem is a c/s is necessary. Never had it, but I've known several PAL ladies that have.
FX that placenta gets moving for you and that your gallbladder gets its act together. Glad the baby looks good! Did you ever announce here if baby is a boy or girl? Just being nosy, totally understand if you want to wait.
Love the bump! Such a change from when we met up
