I just happened upon this today. Bless this woman's heart. And she was expecting a 7lb baby. Does this show how off the Drs can be when measuring? YIKES! My niece was born 13 lbs, but they were expecting a big baby. I think all my Drs were spot on when telling me I would have 8lb kids...and I did.
janedean77 I am having trouble with my blood sugar numbers being high the last couple days so this freaked me out. #NoBigBaby!!
My biggest was my 2nd son at 10# 1 oz and was NOT difficult--he popped right out. My first had a big head but was 8#. Head and shoulder size..that's what matters when you're birthing! But being chubby is not something you want for your baby. That's why I'm watching my sugars whether or not I test + for GD.
Holy cow!! look at those chubby cheeks!!! That's craziness. My kids were both pretty average. My son was 8lbs 3oz and my daughter was 7lbs 3.5oz. I had a co-worker at my previous employer and her baby was 12lbs. He was so cute but he's still that way and he's 2. At 3 months old, he was wearing 12 months clothes. It's crazy. As long as they're healthy, that's all I care about. I would be nervous about them not being healthy at that weight.
I feel like I have a big baby! Or maybe it's just the cookies I keep eating today. lol
NeonNoon she was actaully born with water on the brain (which accts for the extra weight) and passed away 9mths later. But her sister was 10 or 11 lbs. She is so tall now, way taller than my girls who are both 2 and 3 yrs older than her.

And now I am worried! I was already starting to get anxious about the whole exit strategy for this little person...
What I keep telling myself is I was 6lbs 4oz, DH was 5lbs, 6oz (he was a week or two early, I was a week or so late).... therefore hopefully this little person will be in the 6-7lb range...
Just in case though I am cutting back on the lattes & hot chocolates (recent indulgence several times a week!)
I am a short person and all my girls were 8lbs. I had GD with the last one and she came a week early thanks to my Dr inducing me. But I had no problems. The epidural didn't even make it in time with the last one.
I am happy that so far I have only gained 8lbs and only 6 weeks left to go! So I am hoping that means baby won't be huge.
A funny story (might have told it before on a post) I have twin brother and when we were born we were considered the fattest twins born at that hospital. I was 6lbs 1oz and he was 7 something. My mom didn't even know she was having twins. And I believe she was full term. They pulled my brother out breech. I seen a pic of my mom a month or so before she had us and I couldn't believe she didn't know. She was huge!!

From the sounds of things they are monitoring on this baby, mom had GD. Not sure if Drs were off or if mom didn't do prenatal care , some women don't after having several children even though they should:)
I'm just freaking out because even with my tight numbers, he was in the 75th percentile last month. I've already told him he's limited to 7 lbs but he doesn't seem to be listening.

I too am a twin. I was 7lb 14 oz and my sister was 7 lb 7 oz. We were two weeks early. However, my mother said their was a lady there at the same time with 9lb twins!
