Do you have a Trader Joe's near you?  I've never had a bad bottle from there and you can find a pretty good price range.

  • Yep, I'm a fan of cheap Barefoot Pink Moscato. Speaking of wine, I bought a bottle last night for cooking and the cashier asked me, "Is that mare lot any good?"
    LLOL.

I'm also a fan of Barefoot.

I've also gotten some really good wine at Whole Foods.  If you can catch the wine buyer, ask them what their favorite cheap wines are.  You can get some really good $10 wines there if you want to impress guests.

  • How much is reasonably priced?  $10-$15?  Or less?

To me reasonably priced means you'd buy it to serve at a dinner party/special occasion with family or friends so $10-$20 I guess, but not the cheap (though sometimes better) $3-9 wines that you'd buy to drink with just your spouse at an ordinary meal.

  • I really like castalro deiablo(sp?) means cast of the devil. It a Chilean wine. Generally 10-15 a bottle. I like a semi-dry red wine and find this to be very good.

Rex Goliath (big red cock) is the BEST heap wine! I get it at SAMs. But ménage a trois is good too.

  • I do agree that price of wine and quality of wine does not necessarily coincide.  I freaking love wine!  I have been to tastings all over the midwest, east coast, and south.  DH also travels for work and everytime he brings me wine home.  I have had wine from Romania, Brazil, and Scotland, just to name a few.

Some wines that are easy to obtain and in the $10-$20 range are: Menage a trois, Clos du Bois, Robert Mondavi, Seven Deadly Zins, Apothic Red, and Ravenswood Vinters blend,
