DD is in preschool from about 9-2 three days a week. I'm thinking the gift should be about what you guys are talking about for daycare teachers. $25-50 gift card per teacher. I'm new to this, so am I completely off-base? DD has 3 teachers. 1 is MW, 1 is Friday, and 1 is all three days. I was still going to do equal gifts. I'm assuming that's okay. Help! Who knew preschool politics was so hard?
Re: Preschool teacher gift s/o daycare gift
$25-$50 is very generous. I run a daycare and I don't think anyone gives my teachers that much. I'm not saying you shouldn't but I am saying you should not feel as though you have to. Most parents give something around $10-$20. I will probably give a $10 gift card and an ornament or something to my daughters teachers.

Lol. No, that was definitely all me. When I was trying to figure out what to give, that's what I thought. I don't want to be the insane outlier on either end of the spectrum. I'm already weird because I'm one of I believe two working moms with kids in the class. I'm just trying hard not to be any weirder!
I'm doing a 25 dollar gift card for each teacher (I'm doing amazon this year which may or may not be good to do but I like how they do their gift cards) and then I'm also contributing money to the class pool. We're doing the same regardless - that includes 1 floater who is usually helping in DD's room and 1 new teacher in DS's class who just started full time last Monday.
