I don't know if she "knows" or I'm really warm. But my cat stays on my belly and she was never like that before. Usually she sleeps by my feet. Any of your animals feeling clingy? :-/
I don't have animals right now but growing up I had a lot of animals. Animals have a sense when something is up. My guess is that she knows and she's taking care of you and your baby in her own special way
My cats are about a week into a battle for unknown reasons. My usually alpha male cat has been nervous around me, and my normally reticent female cat has been pushy. The male cat slept on my uterus at night from 3 weeks to 10 weeks. I want my nightly boy-kitty snuggles back.
Yes.... I have 5 cats lol. My kitten who has always been sweet is attached to me lately--she always meows and then runs into my lap and starts purring ( all the time). Another one of our cats who has been very sketchy from the start and always is hiding--suddenly started to come up to me and lay in my lap. Between her and the kitten, the other cats have no time..but they still sit next to me. It is very sweet,....and well sometimes annoying. lol
One if my cats has been all over me. If I'm sitting he's in my lap. He's always been a lap cat buf it's usually 50/50 between me and dh. Now it's more like 90/10.
My 90 pound dog won't leave my side!! The farthest he has been from me is tonight when he was laying on the floor. He has since relocated next yo me on the couch but not on top of me as of this post!
My dog figured out I was pregnant about a week or so ago. It should be noted he's blind so even if a dog could register their owner getting a little thick in the waist, he wouldn't! But he must lay on me or right up against me at all times at night. He also sits at my feet wherever I am in the house. I love it.
Love tit all the posts! You got me--crazy cat lady here. My cats are always super snuggly, but in the very beginning when I first got pregnant it was like they knew. They wouldn't leave my side. But I do feel the need to point out that they leap up onto my boobs all. the. time!!!! It hurts like a bitch a drives me craaaaaazy!

Yes! It was one of the first "signs" that made me wonder if I was pregnant. When I was pregnant with dd, she would always curl up on my belly. She's pretty snugly with me anyway, but the belly seems to be reserved for pregnancy. A few days before my BFP she started getting allll up on my belly and i was suspicious!
I have a 10 month old puppy and since I have been pg he has been extra clingy. When I take a nap he is always right next to me and he has been sneeking into the bed to sleep with me at night. He is a super active pup but he has been sleeping in with me and taking naps lately. Hee been a snuggle bug and I love it! He follows me into every room I go into. Yesterday he was following so close, when I stopped his nose literally was in my ass lol
I feel left out now. My cats haven't noticed at all, as far as I can tell. They've always been pretty cuddly with both of us, but nothing new around here...
My dog and cat have lately been by my side constantly. My cat who is obnoxious at night has been sleeping on me until i wake up. Im pretty sure they know
Before I got my BFP our dog moved his bed to my side of the bed which is something he never did. Now that is his spot at night. I come close to stepping on him every time I get up the middle of the night to use the bathroom. He knows something is going on with me for sure.
My cat is usually aloof and has never been interested in people. Now she has to be in my lap 24/7 even if it means sitting on my laptop. As for the others pets, DH's German Shepherd has become clingy and follows me more than him for a change while my dog has suddenly started ignoring me.
My little dog and I are like one being lol. He is an intense really smart little dog. He will stare at me and know exactly what is going on (husband and I have to spell out everything and we have to kick him out of the room when we have sex bc it's like he knows... He's like a person I swear...someone reincarnated). Anyway, he's normally a pretty independent, weird little guy that will take his favorite stuffed toy and put himself to bed in our bed every night at like 7-8. Now he will never leave my side. He is extra happy all of the time and lays with one arm on my belly and just stares at me. Creeper. I know he knows. We just hope he doesn't get territorial when the baby arrives (never has but he is like obsessed with me right now).
Our lab on the other hand is as dumb as a doorknob. He has NO clue what's going on with anything in life lol
All three of my cats have some secret pact that when I am sitting or laying down they all have cuddle time, usually they fight over who gets mom time but now they have a cuddle time peace treaty. Even with the overly touchy two year old in my lap (he gets overly affectionate with all of them but the kitten is the only one not fazed).
One of my two dogs has def. taken notice. We are team green but have a theory it's a girl because he is super protective of girls and doesn't much care for men (other than DH). He is always by my side, no matter what since about 5 weeks ago and at night if he can curl up against my belly, he does. He usually only ever slept down by me feet. Our other dog prefers men (we call her a hooker) and she doesn't want to even acknowledge my stomach and if she gets near it, tries to purposely step all 75 lbs of her on me, usually prompting my protective dog to growl and start nipping at her.
I remember my cat used to lay on my belly before I was pregnant. She would stay there for up to an hour. I really miss her and wish I could have that moment now with my wee one inside of me.
Neither of my two seem to be behaving much differently. If anything, they are giving me the cold shoulder! Normally all I have to do is break out a fleece blanket and I have one of both of them on my lap in seconds. Last night neither one of the fell for my cat trap. I require kitty cuddles!
I did wake up from a nap Saturday with my little girl nestled in the crook of my arm, all laid out, and the other kitty curled up in my lap. Totally made my day.
Speaking of cats... I should have known I was pregnant when I picked out my new kitten Chloe. I was only 4 weeks and 2 days when my DH and I found her at the local Petco. I looked at her and had tears in my eyes because she reminded me of a cat I had back in high school. He caved and we decided to adopt her. That night and the next day, I had two positive pregnancy tests. Now this kitten is by my side every night along with the other two cats.
My dog follows me everywhere. He watches me as if I may disappear. My husband says he is on his job and now gives him extra treats for protecting me and baby. (He doesn't get many leftovers now because I eat them all and yet still loves me)
Both my cats have been extra snuggly lately, the youngest has always been a suck up, but she's been a lot more snuggly than usual. Even my older cat has been a lot more cuddly than usual, always lays on the bed until my bf comes to bed, and seems to love laying on my belly now, which he's not usually into
I love the pics. Animals are the best. My kitten lays on my belly as well and purrs which makes me think she knows. But she is still a kitten and when something else catches her eye she leaps off My belly. I'm not really happy about it when she does it.
