Intro (I bring booze and sweets) :)

Hi ladies!  I’ve been lurking here a while and at the advice of some wonderful ladies (hii!) wanted to intro so that I can jump in and give support while learning from you all.  My story is in my siggy, but for those on mobile I have a diagnosis of RPL and have had six pregnancies and five miscarriages.  Our first m/c was in March 2011.  We then got pregnant again and we had DD in January 2012.  

We started trying for a sibling last December.  I had an early m/c in February and another in May.  At that point we started working with a RE.  All my labs and both our karyotypes came back normal.  We were cleared to try again on our own with the RE saying he suspected poor egg quality as the cause of our RPL.  The only treatment would be IVF with PGD but he didn’t think we needed to do that yet.  We got pregnant again in late June and this time I had great betas.  We thought things were going well until a couple early u/s showed slow growth and slow HB.  The RE was concerned that it was not a viable pregnancy.  When we went back for a scan at 9 weeks there was no HB so I had a D&C the next day.  The pathology report showed the baby was a boy with Trisomy 16 from maternal origin.  

We met with our RE and got a second opinion at a different office and both REs agreed our only treatment option would be IVF with PGD as both believe poor egg quality to be the cause of our losses.  We decided to try one more time on our own and that led to a CP at the beginning of November.  So here we are.  We go for our IVF consult on December 17th, but since it will be completely OOP we will most likely be waiting until later in the winter/early spring to go ahead with starting the process.

Anyway, I bring gifts for those who made it through all that.  I look forward to getting to know you all and giving whatever support I can!

    IUI #1 5mg Femara + trigger = BFN
    IUI #2 5mg Femara + trigger = BFN
    IUI #3 5mg Femara + trigger = BFN
    IVF #1, Stimmed for 12 days, ER 8/22/14, 9 retrieved, 7M, 7F!!  Freeze all due to fluid in uterus.
    FET end of October 2014 cancelled due to fluid in uterus due to possible c-scar defect
    Surgery scheduled 12/12/14 to fix possible isthmocele
    3/26/15 transferred one 8 cell grade 4 embryo and one 6 cell grade 3 embryo = slow rising betas for 2+ weeks = ectopic MTX shot 4/29/15
    Repeat c-scar surgery June 2015
    2nd and last IVF cycle August 2015, stimmed for 12 days, 2 egg retrieved, both mature and both fertilized.  Transferred both 8-cell embryos on Day 3, beta 9/5/15 = BFFN
