Ugh. Help please!

Well now my husband put diaper ointment on with a prefold without using a liner. Is it ruined? Can I get it out?
Me:41, DH:41 Positive for MTHFR mutations- one copy C677T, one copy A1298C. One daughter born on Thanksgiving in 2013. Six losses.

    If it repels after a wash, spot treat with dawn and a toothbrush. This is the only thing Dawn is good for when diapering.

    It's okay!! Prefolds are very forgiving.

    This is going to sound like a dumb question....but in theory couldn't you mark the "bad" side somehow and just make sure you always use the other side?
    I'm serious with this question.

    I will try Dawn, thank you. He used a TON of ointment. Will hot water release it or make it set in?

    Hot water would help dissolve it.

    What ointment was it? Does it have petroleum? That's the biggest offender in repelling. Not all ointments are bad though.

    It's Burt's Bees diaper ointment. The zinc diaper ointment, not the multipurpose ointment.

    Prefolds are pretty cheap.  If it doesn't come out, it's not exactly a huge loss of money.  You could always use it for something else?

    Ya that's what I'll do if it comes to it. I just hated the thought of losing one of my troops. LOL.

    I've had peaple swear the zinc Burt's Bees is safe for their cloth diapers and washes right out. You'll have to let us know of it comes out!
