1st apt

I live in a pretty small area n when I called the best place in town to make my first apt which should happen at about 8 weeks they r booked until the start of the new year which means I sill be 15 weeks along before I see my first Dr. Is this too late? Should I try to see someone else?

    To be fair, I'm all full up on stupid today, but seriously, lady, do you find it physically exhausting to actually use all the letters that belong in words? The words are "and" and "are." Sheesh.

    As for your question, I wouldn't be comfortable waiting that long, so yes, I'd find another doctor.

    I would say look for a different doctor. Mine would not see me until 8 weeks, which is totally normal, but that seemed like it was forever away. IF there was something wrong, which I would NEVER wish upon anyone, you would want to know before 15 weeks. If that doctor is that busy now, they will probably be busy the entire duration of your pregnancy and delivery. That is not fair to you and unwise.

    I think it depends if you want to do a NT Scan. In many cases, the first U/S can occur at 18-20 weeks.

    I also think it depends on your history.

    But, if you don't want to wait and do want to screen your baby, I would see another doctor.

    I would try to see someone else. FYI - I got EDD at 8 week scan. Then NT at 12 weeks. So 15 weeks sounds late.
