Hello all! Just looking for some advice/tips on how you all remain calm and patient while TTC. This is only my 4th month of TTC#2, but I'm already starting to feel those familiar feelings of frustration and sadness I felt when we were trying for our first (it took us 6 months to conceive her). I love my DD so much and am trying to push thoughts of baby #2 out of my mind so I can just enjoy this wonderful time with her (she's 19 mo and it's such a fun age!). Thank you for any advice you might have! :)

Son: Jackson, 11/02/06, stillborn due to PPROM and IUGR. Over the next ten years we had 9 miscarriages from 8-14 weeks. On May 18, 2016 my daughter, Ridley, was born. We're OADNBC.
  • Oh my goodness!!! Thank you so much, ladies. I can't believe I didn't notice that was my usnername before. You all have been incredibly helpful. Thank you!!!
  • The only piece of advice I have when TTC #2 is to see it as a completely different experience than your first attempt at TTC. It took us 5mo to conceive our DS. When that cycle came and went while TTC #2 I was a mess, even though I knew it could take up to a year for a healthy couple to get a BFP. Sometimes the emotional side takes over the rational side.

    Good luck!

  • Xanax. And I try to remind myself to enjoy the journey, it should be a fun time, we try to make more frequent date nights, I do a lot of self care when I get BFNs, and I keep myself distracted! Movies, books, the interweb, whatever, anything to take my mind off the waiting.
