Pregnancy Pillow????

Hi Everyone!  This bump is finally getting in the way of my sleeping habits!  Does anyone have a pregnancy pillow or any recommendations on ones they've heard were good?  I'm going to have to make that purchase ASAP!!

  • I use a little small wedge pillow for the bump, and a regular pillow for between my knees. I have a big nursing pillow I could use, but there is just not enough room on my queen size bed for a huge pillow, me and hubby. So personal preference, the wedge slips right under the bump and isn't intrusive. I highly recommend it.

  • i splurged and order a bump nest because one of my fav bloggers recommended it. It ROCKS! I kind of wish I had shopped around more b/c I know others have good reviews of other types.

It is kind of big. my husband said it like a pool noodle in bed with us!

My heart is as open as the sky.

  • I have a Snoogle that I have been using since I was pregnant with DD in 2011.  It is wonderful.  Although DH says it's like we always have a 3rd person in bed with us I appreciate that it blocks him from creeping over to my side - he is a sprawler and I don't like to be crowded/snuggled when actually trying to sleep.  I sleep much better overall after Snoogle arrived.

  • Since I'm only allowed sleeping on my side, I bought two long body pillows, I wedge one behind me and one in the front. It's worked so far, and much cheaper than those pg pillows!

  • I have just used a king-sized pillow for the main side I sleep on (left) and a regular old bed pillow for my right side. I'm cheap as well and get crotchety if someone tries to sell me something that I feel I can do perfectly well without. That said, I'm totally jealous of everyone who has a snoogle.

  • For a long time I just built a fort around me every night w 2 king sized pillows and 2 regular pillows. This sort of worked but you can imagine how many pillows we ended up with in the bed. Plus it gets hot!

About 2 or 3 weeks ago I broke down and bought the boppy wedge and love it. Now I have that on my left side and a king pillow to prop my leg on. Behind my back / right side I have a king pillow.

Added bonus - the wedge is small enough that I was able to easily bring with me to my in laws over Thanksgiving.

    This.

Before you spent a ton of money on a Snoogle or other pregnancy pillow, try an old fashioned body pillow.  I could NEVER get comfortable with my snoogle.  It pissed me off and took up way too much space in my bed.  I ended up going to Target and buying a $10 body pillow.  The pillow is my savior - I call it pillow boyfriend.  It gets more action than my husband does.
Married on October 20, 2012.  Began trying in January 2013.

I NEVER even thought of a body pillow.  Definitely what I'm going to do before I splurge on these expensive pregnancy pillows. Thanks ladies!!!
