How are you feeling? I notice that I'm grunting more with every move I make. My stomach is starting to feel like it is going to rip open if stretched anymore. Glamorous, I know.

    Appointments/Updates? Next appointment is Tuesday

Have you bought/received anything for the baby recently? I have my first shower today (office shower), so I'm sure we'll receive a bunch of really great things today.

Rants/Raves: I'm currently in a great mood, so no rants at the moment. :-)

QOTW: Are you making freezer meals or stocking up on anything in particular? I plan to make a couple freezer meals, but my step-mom is staying with us after the baby is born and has elected her self as maid, chef, nanny, and dog-sitter.
  • @MusicFanatic‌ .....I know it's hard right now, but soon you'll get over the guilt of not being able to breastfeed. I felt the same when it didn't work out for me and DD, and the ladies on The Bump back then, 7 years ago, helped to make me feel so much better! Enjoy your LO and just realize that she is getting the nutrients she needs :)

  • @ladyamanuet‌ ....re: HR....I totally feel you! I had to do ALL the research myself 7 years ago when I was pregnant with DD. Thank goodness we have a more competent HR person now, but it is still confusing!

  • @CrazyMonkeyBear‌ ...DH asked the same question when I told him the baby was a butternut squash this morning! LOL! At least I know what that is, unlike last week's durian fruit! :P

  • Mommies to Be:
    Week/Fruit: 36 Honeydew

How are you feeling? Really tired and ready to stop working full time

    Appointments/Updates? 36 week ultrasound today :)

Have you bought/received anything for the baby recently? just finishing up little things

Rants/Raves: same as @ladyamanuet‌  - our short term disability says you need to go out for a condition preventing you from doing your job and pregnancy isn't a "condition" that falls under the terms but if I had a complication while pregnant or after birth it would cover me.  So frustrating @ladyamanuet‌  how are you addressing it with your doctor?

QOTW: Are you making freezer meals or stocking up on anything in particular? Mom, aunts, MIL and co-workers are doing this for me

  • Why does everybody have to hate on the HR people? We're not all worthless I promise!

    Week/Fruit: 36/Honeydew

How are you feeling? Definitely feeling more tired more often. Getting anxious about when he'll make his appearance...I'm just ready to be done and it seems like time is DRAGGING now...

Appointments/Updates? Had an appointment on Tuesday. Measuring on track, HB good, I have my GBS and my first cervical check next Tuesday. The Midwife says we'll talk more about position at that point too. I did get the go ahead to start drinking the RRL Tea and to start EPO so hopefully that'll get my body all prepped and ready.

Have you bought/received anything for the baby recently? Well, I bought the Mamaroo on Monday with the CyberMonday deals. I had a surprise baby shower at work on Tuesday so I got all kinds of goodies there! Lots of clothes, diapers, wipes, and the high chair off the registry!

Rants/Raves: Don't really have a whole lot of either. I feel like I'm just in a holding pattern at this point...waiting is not my strong suit!

QOTW: Are you making freezer meals or stocking up on anything in particular? Food wise - I already have a few freezer meals prepped and in the freezer but those might get eaten before he gets here. One of these weekends I'll probably make a few more. The good news is my SSIL is right next door and my MIL is already bringing me meals weekly and said she would be glad to keep bringing food once G gets here.

Stocking up - I'm trying to make it a point to buy one pack of diapers and wipes every weekend in random sizes. I'm also going to (if I can remember) go onto all the diaper maker websites and request their samples.

  • @JoaPata - I'm so sorry to hear about your dog. I would be a total wreck right now if that happened to me.

@Babytime1778 - It sounds like you and ladyamanuet are having different issues. Your STD doesn't cover pregnancy at all (which I find kind of odd, although probably not unheard of) and I'm reading it that her's just doesn't pay anything until you've been out of work for 30 days. All plans are written differently and it's really hard to compare two separate plans.

Example: My last company you didn't start receiving STD until the 31st days after the "incident" that put you out of work. My current company you start receiving STD on the 8th day following the "incident".

  • Thanks @WillCMyInk - It has been a very hard couple of days.  I am trying not to cry too much because of the baby but so sad.  We were really hoping the dog would be here to meet the little one.  I appreciate your thoughts.

@Beckyboo71- thank you so much. Lots of amazing friends have made me feel confident in my decision, I'm so thankful for them :) I know when I'm sitting there in tears and pain when I feed my daughter, something has to give. Our days are much more smooth and happy now, so I know I made the right choice.

  • Thanks @Ladyamanuet - We will most likely get another pet in several years when the baby is old enough.  Our dog was like a child (we did everything with him and for him) so it just is the quiet vacancy I feel right now and wanting him back.  I know in time it will get easier and that life will go on and we will have another great pet one day but it is just so darn hard right now.  Trying to focus on babies arrival but the loss has been overwhelming.  I am at home on bedrest still so was home the past six weeks with him.  I was lucky to have that.  Thank you again for your kind words.

@musicfanatic - I also agree and hope you don't beat yourself up.  You are feeding your beautiful baby and that is all that is important.  :-)

    Hi Ladies! Happy Thursday!

    Week/Fruit:
    32 weeks / Squash

How are you feeling? Full, like all the time. I also want to stop working but I'm sure that I will continue the daily grind up until my due date. I can't believe that I'm 32 weeks already! Yay!

Appointments/Updates? My appointment is next Wednesday. I'm hoping that I've gained weight since I was still negative at my last visit.

Have you bought/received anything for the baby recently? My sister bought some baby stuff for me but it's a surprise and I haven't seen it yet.

Rants/Raves: My hubby, DS and I had a blast in Mexico and then came home to cold weather and snow! Not a big deal but it was an adjustment for sure! After seeing everyone's AW nursery pictures, I'm convinced that we need to start working on our baby's room. We've bought the paint color (a soft gray) but that's it. I'm 95% sure that we've selected our baby's name so that's exciting! :)

QOTW: Are you making freezer meals or stocking up on anything in particular? I'm stocking up on diapers from Amazon in sizes newborn, 1 and 2. Unfortunately, I won't be able to breastfeed, so we buy a container of formula every time that we go to Costco. No freezer meals for us...our freezer is full and hubby doesn't like them very much. Oh well.
