Pre-Elampsia

Hiya ladies.
Last doctors apt I was told that there was a small trace of proteins in my urine. Doc said not to worry as it happens, and ordered a urine lab test anyways. I see my doctor tomorrow and have some new concerns since my last apt.

I have some swelling in my feet, mild to moderate headaches/migraines throughout most of the day, and I'm also feeling a tad weird... Sleepy one minute and wide awake the next.

I'm 35 weeks today and was having sexy time with my SO last night and had a pain like contraction that ended up going away within a few minutes of laying down. After about 20 mins I had another contraction or pain like feeling.
I feel fine today besides my headache, sinuses and swollen feet. No contractions yet.

Just wondering if it's possible signs of pre-eclampsia.
Ladies who have it, what are your symptoms?

Thanks! Sorry for the long post

Why do all new posters have pre-e?  Is this the cool new thing to have? And why do you all spell it wrong?

  • Is it Biatch Thursday for you guys?

Sounds like the person is new and posted something accidentally twice. All you perfect ladies have never made a mistake to push a button twice sounds like.

  • I sure haven't posted something twice! It wasn't an accident, there was a time lapse in between. So yeah, must be biatch Thursday for being annoyed by all the new, ignorant posters.
  • So glad I found my favorite pad of post its the other night :)
Can I borrow a few? I ran out.

  • Try not to stress over the protein. I've had small amounts off and on through this pregnancy and have done labs needed to be sure everything was good....with that being said, It could be nothing. Headaches and some swelling are normal in pregnancy. You are 35 weeks along so as a pp said orgasm can trigger contractions, I can vouch on that...Anyways, It doesn't hurt to ask your dr. Questions and don't be afraid to. But it Sounds like your dr is simply taking all precautions and possibly trying to rule it out. If it was severe and your dr was 90% certain you could be at extreme danger he/she would have had you go straight to the er/L&D for monitoring and tests, etc...and that is no fun.

Yikes! Pre-eclampsia* excuse my spelling mistake, I wasn't asking a question on language/English/spelling, I was asking about pre eclampsia.

And sorry for the double post! I didn't see my post go on as my phone acted up as soon as I hit "post" so when I went back I just posted it again.

I'll know not to ask any questions on who had pre eclampsia; make sure I read what I wrote, then re-read again incase of spelling errors, and to only post on here if I'm in a shiiithey mood.

I'm just a happy, concerned mama but I guess we can't all be the same.

Thanks to the few we did answer my questions or commented something related to my post! :)
  • It seems pretty dramatic on here lol. Sort of like it, grew up in a small town with dramatic people. It's nice :)
