  • Oh my, I hope my kids never get this picky! It's funny to see what their little minds think of though!

  • Funny and not funny all at the same time! lol
I can totally relate to the broken granola bar one, my 8yo will still pitch a fit if his crackers, granola bars, or whatever are broken. He will not eat them, and gives them to his sisters, lolol! Last weekend he refused to eat a gogurt because some of the yogurt had squeezed out while I was opening it. Has anyone tried to open a gogurt without squeezing a little out?? Practically impossible. And I still cannot figure out my 3yo's triggers, other than hot. If a food is hot, then forget it. She won't eat it!
  • Oh my goodness, I feel like I would go nuts if I had to be mom to one of those kids!

  • Those are funny. DD (4y/o) will only eat steak if it is still red/pink in the middle. If there is a piece without that center she will refuse to touch it.
  • It's cute though lol my twins are only and and a half and they both won't eat banana unless they see me peel it. Idk I guess they're convinced it's not a banana unless they see it peeled.
  • Gosh I'm lucky my ds is not a picky eater.  My niece is one, think the only foods she'll eat are a bite of grilled cheese or mac and cheese.  She is 9.  and my 2 year old can eat more of his meal than she can.  I am really hoping ds 2 will follow in his footsteps.   I think part of the reason my niece is picky is that she has food allergies so can only eat at certain places and certain foods and it's been magnified into extreme picky eating, I feel so bad for my sister, having to deal with preparing these foods to only see one bite eaten.
  • Ohh Ohh my niece on my Husbands side is 8 and she only likes pasta if it's just the noodles like literally boiled out of the water no nothing added noodles. That's weird. Lol

@GromMom‌ ugh food allergies totally suck and I'm sorry your sister has to go through that :/ I mean your niece too but as mom's I feel like it hurts us so much to see our kids struggle with stuff :/

I think this is part of my DS's problem. He had a very restrictive diet as a toddler. He's outgrown 1 of his allergies, so he's not so restricted now but I think it's the textures of food he hates. He won't touch bananas either
  • @4littlebears‌ sounds like a texture thing ... I wouldn't eat bananas until I was 19 years old. He will probably outgrow some of it.

Yeah, I think that's pretty common. He was like you too, he used to want a different utensil for every food. Now I will sometimes catch him wiping the fork in his napkin before eating the next food. I hope he outgrows a lot of this. He's got anxiety from his allergies, so I think that has a lot to do with it too. Some of it we have to just laugh off though!
