I like white and colored lights. But if you're doing outdoor lights, I think you need to pick one and make sure they're all the same -- mixing led, blue, colored, soft white, animated, and whatever is tacky
I guess i'm not particular about white vs colored lights. Our tree has colored lights and white around the trunk all the way up. MH insisted. I put all kinds of ornaments on there, some with meaning, the rest just to fill spaces. Outside lights are simple white, but when we got replacements this year, the 4 strands were the blue tint LED instead of soft white. The back side of my house looks ridiculous! And it illuminates our white deck railing so it seems like there is a blacklight back there. It is crazy.

This is probably not a UO, but I hate it when people post their Elf on a Shelf pictures on facebook. I get it, your kids like the elf and you put him in clever places, but do I really need to see where the elf was every damn day for the entire month?
I loved decorating for Holidays growing up. We'd put up lights and make our own wreaths and it was beautiful and probably tacky... But it warmed young Rondack's heart.
I don't get the hatred for tacky holiday decor. So what if your neighbor has six different light strands and five inflatables and a tacky sign? They're having a ball. They sound fun. I know my kids would LOVE their house.

PREACH!!! It's super annoying and everyone gets the same ideas from Pintrest anyway.
I'm okay with colored lights on a tree sometimes, but I hate colored lights outside except for blue. We used to do blue and white as a nod to my H's Jew-ness.

Aren't there venomous things here?
Hmm I've never seen this before, but those photographs are absolutely beautiful!
This. They actually make me wish I knew people who post them.
