  • Might not be unpopular, but I am not going to buy my DD Barbie dolls.
  • I don't care for hot drinks. I will drink a cup of hot chocolate but hardly ever finish it.

Ok fine, since it's slow whatevs. I feel like we'll start ttc for baby número dos in about a month or two. Only minor (major?) issue is that we live in a 2 bedroom house. Moving isn't an option because we will most likely be buying our home in the next few years and we luuuurve our house. I told dh we should talk to the homeowners about adding a master room addition (little backstory; the previous owners of the home already leveled and started the process for a room addition, but never completed the process before they sold it to current homeowners aka, our landlords, so it's already partially done but obviously something like that takes a lot of work) he says that he'll think about it but doesn't really think it's super necessary right now. I do, because well, it would be a lot easier on us to have two separate kids rooms. Dh grew up with his 3 siblings plus foster children so he doesn't think them sharing a room would be a huge deal...I don't know if I should just let this go or if I should contact our landlords (dh typically takes care of all the "home improvement" stuff) and then let dh know what they say. Is it manageable to have two kids to one room? Stm's that have BTDT feel free to chime in. ETA; I guess the UO part would be that I'm considering not listening to dh about it not being a big deal and contacting our landlords anyway. #rebel
Eh, I think sharing for a short time frame is NBD. My brother and I shared FOR-E-VER. Which, I do not suggest. You may find when they are really young they want to be near each other at night. I say, let it go! And buy your house in a few years with enough rooms.

@carriet2018‌ all very good points. I guess I'm more worried about the newborn days of a future LO and ds being such a light sleeper.
All those things just work out though, right? RIGHT??

I would say you keep a small baby in your room until he/she won't wake the toddler at night. Easy peasy. ::dusts hands off::

This. DD and DS share a room now and it works out fine. She loves sharing her room with her brother. We didn't end up putting him in there until he was sttn. He slept in our room until he was.

  • @psychdoc12‌ nope coffee. Hot chocolate is the only hot thing I will drink. I just never developed a taste for coffee.

I'm not a fan of Elf on a Shelf.  I should probably clarify that it's when I see pictures of the Elf doing "naughty" things - like getting into the flour, eating all the cookies/chocolate, etc.  I just don't see those behaviors as things that should be encouraging kids to behave for Santa (what I believe one of the main purposes is of the Elf on a Shelf).

I agree. I also don't think kids should be afraid to behave normally 24/7 because they think they are being watched. They can't be perfect all the time!

  • I think the elf is a cute idea and should be used in the same way "he sees you when you're sleeping, he knows when you're awake."  I think there is a happy medium.

Those things are hideous.  If you want to give me a heart attack, hide one of those in my house.

    We love our Elf, Freddie!!
