Wednesday Night Spam

I'm 31 weeks today. I was sitting here and thought "oh, I'll see the symptoms for week 31" and then I reacted to it.

"Holy shit balls! I have 9 weeks left. I don't have anything yet. Wtf have I been doing the last 7 months?"

  • I got 12 weeks left and the baby room still needs to be torn down to studs and completely redone.. hopefully will get started on it next week. Sometimes i have mini panic attack about nothing being done. Time is going pretty fast.

  • FTM's you need to go read the  Poll re: Butthole Swabbing on Parenting. I just want to make sure you all are fully informed of what is to come.

STM's to be...how many of you forgot about this?
Hmm..... read the first page of thread. Still somewhat confused. But really, the last time my body belonged to me was about eight months ago so I'm not really surprised.
  • Double win on Netflix tonight. Husband made lasagna. I have root beer. DS is at my parents' house til tomorrow night. FTW!

Zoolander AND The Cable Guy. First time seeing CB but I still crack up every time I watch Zoolander. CB is pretty fabulous so far.

"I thought someone was going to be reading OUR yagoogalies!" :)) (Gets me every time!)

Also, new episode of The 100 is on tonight. Anyone else watch this show? I'm hooked!

    It's been 9.5 years since my last baby so I totally forgot. Glad I have something to ponder while my insomnia is keeping me awake. =;
  • @CdnFarmGirl08‌ Are you teaching him standing up?

Also, bringing the potty with us in the car worked. DS used the potty chair better than public bathrooms. We cut back on drinks before and during the trip and stopped every 45-hour based on his reactions. The drove went pretty well. The only accident happened because he fell asleep. I know you have a long drive coming up and were wondering about it too.

Meh this doesn't bother me. Having a pap and a vaginal u/s by a male doctor in front of my husband was weird enough that I don't think anything will bother me. Oh he also pinched my nips to see if milk would come out. I agree that this stopped being my body several months ago.
Say what? My female OB never squeezed my nips or anything like that during my first pregnancy.

  • @krendel1990‌ the only person who ever gave me a nip squeeze in the hospital or at the OB office was the lactation consultant. She wasn't very gentle either.

  • DH just came home with Torchy's. Totally worth the heartburn it'll give me. Plus S is having a dance party.

  • Ok that is strange...did nobody else get a breast examine at their first appointment? He felt for lumps then just up and gave them a pinch. I feel like Joey with the tailor.

I got a breast exam but no pinches. She barely touched the areola.

Sadly i didn't forget about this 7 years later because i tested positive with DD and they told me to make sure with any future pregnancy I remind them to test me and to tell them I was positive with a prior pregnancy. I just forgot how many weeks its done at.

krendel1990 I've never had my nips pinched at any appointments dealing with any of my pregnancies or even follow up appointments. IMO thats a little unusual. I've had breast exams while pregnant and while not pregnant and thats never been done to me.

As for all of you having panic attacks about the nursery I'm right there with you. DH has not even started organizing his room so we can move everything out of what will be the babies room. We have to do a whole tier down. Rip out carpet, paint, new fixtures, closet rebuild and window treatment! Very overwhelming!
I'm going to have to read the butt swab but I'm sure it won't phase do to the fact I've been having my abnormal polyp touched by like everyone in the dr office!
  • @krendel1990‌ that is very strange and kind of creepy. I also got a breast exam, but definitely no nipple pinching!!! Never heard of them doing that. Not to mention, if it was at your first OB appt you wouldn't be even producing colostrum yet.
  • As I sit and wait for indigestion meds to kick in I decided to scroll through fb. While doing so I came across a post from a company I like. Someone is complaning to the page about our customer service and a large group of people start heckling the person working by telling them that they are choosing the company business and are terrible at their job.

Guys (speaking generally), if you complain to a fb or other social media page you are complaining to someone who gets paid to sit around and respond to people on that social media page. They don't do anything else for the company. Is this not common knowledge?

You would think but people aren't that intelligent. Or they my favorite is when they complain about a specific location of that company on the fb page.

@Blingpixie‌, thinking of you and YH. Hugs! If you need to vent to us, it is ok. @krendel1990‌, ignore me if I am mistaken, but did you post something about freckles falling off of nipples on day spam or am I hallucinating because I am on a whirlwind work trip with a 3 hour time difference and got up at 4 am? Tmi, but my nipples got really dark and then after DS was born the entire layer of skin fell off like other skin after a sunburn.
Oh god don't say this. Mine have gotten super dark. Now I'm going to be paranoid they'll shed.

  • So, it's not butthole related... but I've had a really shitty day. Today was the first day I wasn't at a hospital since Thursday, and it was actually a decent day of bed rest and trying to refocus on the positive. Then, DH drops the news that he was told today he's losing his job/benefits as early as the end of the month. This is shattering news for us. There are still a lot of details to work out, but this couldn't come at a worse time. I hope we can fight the decision, but as it stands, this means a cross country relocation to start over where we have family and support, since I'm not able to work right now (or probably anytime in the near future). I hate to be a downer, but I think I might have to take a step back from bumping for awhile, given the massive real life issues that will be taking priority. I'll try to pop in once in a while, but yeah... I don't see the coming weeks having much free time (or good news to contribute).
Oh no @Blingpixie I am so sorry. If my husband lost his job we would be in the same situation. My thoughts are with you guys. I hope this is the beginning of a wonderful new opportunity for your family.
