Help! People's ideas and suggestions on baby boys name!?

Ever since I fell pregnant me and my partner can not agree on a baby name, and now I'm worried we never will! I love different names like Teddy, Buzz and Parker. He loves traditional names such as Lucas and Adam. I hate the thought of our boy having such a common name but he's not budging! His last name is Pearce so the name Parker is out of the question as it would sound like the man from spider man lol! Please leave suggestions as id love to find a name we can both agree on :)

  • We both have agreed on middle names as they are family names, it's just the first name. At present we have John Gary Pearce, he just needs a first name. I personally think Teddy John Gary Pearce has a ring to it but my partner disagrees.
  • I know, time is really running out!
  • Teddy seems like a name for a puppy to me.
  • Since I fell pregnant my heart has been set on teddy! I've been told it's short for Edward and Theodore but I'm not keen in either. I do like the name Jaxson though, will have to suggest that to him.
  • I think Gary is her last name and Pearce is the partners.
  • Would people suggest we drop on of the middle name?

    No, she says middles nameS.

I just noticed that when I went back and read after you pointed it out. Yeah that is too many names.

Um, no. You still have plenty of time.

BE REAL JENNY, theres not enough time!

    Yes
  • I'm with @RQuinlin‌ and agree that Jaxson should be the name. Maybe a double xx just for originality

  • How about angus? That's what DD wants to name our baby.

    Mine wanted Thor. Or Maximus.

    My H wanted Thor! Lol
  • @totesmcgotes‌ we are using Angus as a middle name... It was DH's grandpa's name, who he was very close to. The alternative was Merle, which is the name he actually went by, so you can see I had a tough choice on my hands :P

@Whitfry and @RQuinlin, @happymamax2‌ is right - totally a UK thing. And, incidentally, a South African thing. That's where my doc's from and she's been referring to when I "fell pregnant" from the get-go. I've been biting my tongue in the interest of being culturally respectful, but I think it makes my baby sound like an accident :(

OP, please don't name your child Jaxson. Or Buzz.

I keep seeing the phrase "fall pregnant" being used on TB. When did this become a thing? What does it even mean? Is it cultural? Is it youth-oriented? I don't understand why people use this phrase. I'm legitimately wondering where the hell it came from.

I know. Every time I see it I'm like, what did you trip, fall on his dick, and get knocked up?

I'm from England and it's something we say here.. I think if I tripped and fell on his dick the last thing he would be thinking is to start baby making! Here it means when you discovered you were pregnant.

The first time I saw this phrase of falling pregnant, I thought the woman was drunk.

I happen to like, what you refer, as common names. What's wrong with an Adam? I would rather my child have a "common" name rather than live with the name Buzz.

You do realize Buzz was Kevin's asshole brother in Home Alone. No one likes a Buzz.

  • Thank you guys for the explanation of the phrase "falling pregnant"! It's nice to learn something new.

OP: You might have some luck checking out this list of names.
